Being the Light to His Darkness (Kuroko no Basket Fanfiction)

Chapter Ten- Afternoon Lunch Time Rush

(A.N. :I just want to say even to this point, the only first year's name in Seiran that isn't Kuroko and Kagami that I could remember is Furihata then the rest are sorta **plays with paper nervously** irrelevant to me.. So the only first year that I would be naming is Furihata most of the time ok.)

Senri's P.O.V.~

   "What are we called out here for?" I asked Riko and the Senpais as all of the first years met with them in the hallway.

"I want you guys to buy some bread~" Riko said in an oddly good mood, which gave me the chills.

"On the Twenty Seventh of every month, the Seirin High Cafeteria sells a limited quantity of limited bread." Riko explained. "Legend says that if you eat this bread, you'll bring great success in love, clubs or anything else."

I scoffed when she said love. "I doubt this bread would bring you love in general."

"You'll see." She smirks. "This sandwich is loaded with pork cutlet, caviar, foie gras and truffles. It costs about 2800 yen as well."

"It must taste disgusting.." Kagami commented and the second/third years laughed at us.

"We're just asking you to get this fantastic bread so you can continue building momentum like how we beat Kaijo." Hyuuga Senpai commented and Riko nods along.

"It'll just be a bit busier than usual." She said with a small smile but judging from the expression on Hyuuga Senpai's face, it was much more than a bit busier.

"Uh- About tha-" I started but Kagami cuts me off.

"We just have to go buy bread right?" He laughs out loud. "That's easy as pie, ma'am."

Hyuuga hands an envelope to Tetsu who accepts it quietly. "The second years would pay for this but buy lunch for everyone there."

  "However," He says, his aura could only be compared to Satan at this point. "If you fail, I don't need any change but you'll be doing three times as much strength training and footwork."

  All the first years (Excluding Tetsu) gulped in fear and I just sighed.

"If you don't hurry," Izuki-Senpai said. "They'll sell out but we did manage to buy some last year."

"Alright, we're off then-" I said and started walking towards the cafeteria.

A Tiny Time Skip~

"Well.." I sighed once again, looking at the mob of people in front of us. "We might be able to get one..?"

"We just need to try our best to attempt to get at least one," Furihata-Kun grimaced, his face turned serious in a second.

Kagami and the three other first years attempted to push their way through the crowd, but to their dismay, were pushed back to the end of the line.

"This is the Japanese lunch time rush!" Kagami exclaimed, looking frightened for once.

   "Oh, I have an idea!" Kagami threw one of the poor boys on top of the mob and road him like a surfboard. It was going pretty well until they were pushed back to the end once more, to their dismay.

   "Here," Tetsu suddenly appears next to me, handing one of those sandwiches.

  "How in the world did you get one?" Furihata-Kun asked him. 'That's what I want to know as well.'

  "Well.." Tetsu started. "I was pushed into the crowd, then by the movement of it, was brought to the front where I grabbed the sandwiches and left some money on the counter."

  "Seems reasonable," I shrugged. "You should've saw these guys attempt to go in the crowd- It was totally funny."

  "You guys go have fun in there," I said, pointing to the crowd. "Tetsu and I are going to the roof to eat~"

  "THAT'S UNFAIR!" Kagami yelled and I chuckled under my breath as I pulled Tetsu with me.

~Extra~

3rd Person's P.O.V.~

"Did we always have this many people in our school?" Senri asked Tetsu, who shrugged. "They are honestly much less noticeable than you."

"Is that a compliment?" Tetsu asked, completely confused.

"Of course it is!" Senri exclaimed. "It means that you're much more relevant than all these extras!"
