Chapter 11

Haley's P.O.V

Once Math was done, I walked to my locker with Annie and Maddy.

Ross came up to me and pinned me to my locker.

"Why did you get us in trouble?!", he asked loudly.

"Leave her alone!", Maddy yelled.

"Shut up, Maddy!", he yelled at her.

I slid under his arms. "It was for your own good", I replied and walked away.

I heard Ross running after us and we ran but he was faster.

He picked me up and carried me outside.

He put me in his car and locked the door.

"I asked you a question", he demanded.

"YOU LEFT US AT THE FRO-YO PLACE AND MADE OUT WITH BRITTANY", I cried. I looked out the window.

"It was for a good cause", he replied.

"WHAT DID I DO TO YOU?!", I screamed.

"You only want me so you can be popular", He replied.

"When did I said that?!"

"Brittany made me listen to a sound recording and it was you telling Maddy that you were using me", He explained.

"AND YOU BELIEVED HER?!", I asked, still screaming.

He paused for a moment.

I unlocked the car and ran into the school.

Ross' P.O.V

I can't believe I believed Brittany. I walked inside and walked up to Brittany.

"Hey, can I see your phone for a sec?", I asked. "Sure", she handed me her phone and went through her apps.

I found an app that said Voice Edit. I opened it and it has a saved recording. I listened to it and it was Maddy saying:

I'm so glad that you have a boyfriend.

And it was another recording from another day of Haylie saying:

Pff oh please, I'm only using your homework to see if I got the answers right

And it was another recording and it was Haley saying:

I'll never become popular

Brittany edit it to make it look like she was using me. I walked up to Brittany.

"What's this?", I asked. "N-Nothing babe", she grabbed her phone and put it away.

"Haley never said that, you edit it", I confirmed.

"No", she lied. "We're done", I walked away.

I saw Haley at her locker looking sad. I walked up behind her and put my arms around her waist.

She looked back and took my arms off and walked away.

"Haley please-"

"Leave me alone", she demanded, "I was wrong, you'll always be a player".

That broke my heart inside and I walked away, a tear fell down my face and walked to my next class.

I couldn't pay attention. I can't believe she said that I was a player.

Maybe she was right. I'm a horrible person.
