Jack's POV:
"So, you finally screwed up with Charlotte, huh?" Hayes remarked.
"I'm not in the mood for this Hayes." I say, leaning back on the couch.
"I'm kidding. I know you didn't actually cheat on her. I just like messing with you." He says, squeezing in between me and Aaron.
"Okay, well if you're not gonna help, then leave." I snap.
"Alright, calm down. Has he been like this all day?" Hayes asks, turning his attention to the guys. They all nod their heads.
"Okay, well first, tell me exactly what happened." He says. I proceed to explain the events of last night through this morning, trying my best not to get emotional. I almost never cry, so it's weird for the guys to see me like this.
"Well, this isn't good." Hayes finally replies.
"Well no shit, Sherlock." Nash says. I didn't expect him to stay quiet for long considering Hayes is his brother.
"And she won't listen to you?" He asks me. I shake my head.
"Well, then you're going to have to get her when she has to listen to you."
"How do I do that?" I ask. I honestly have no clue what he's talking about right now, and I don't think anybody else does either.
Hayes explains his plan to me, and I have to say, he really does know his stuff. When he finishes, I think it over. "Okay, I like the plan, but what do I say to her. Everything I've said already just made her cry."
"You, my friend, need to think like a girl." Hayes says, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Umm, small problem. I have no idea how to do that." I say. I doubt that Hayes even knows how to think like a girl.
Then, almost as if on cue, Mahogany walks through the door. "That's what she's here for." He says.
"Okay, Charlotte hates your guts. I texted her earlier to see how she was doing and she just started to rant about how horrible you are." Mahogany says coming over to sit in the chair in front of me.
"That's why this plan needs to work." Hayes says.
"Okay, but what do I say to make her not hate me?" I ask Mahogany.
"Well, you know Charlotte isn't like all those other girls in our school. You can't just apologize and explain yourself and expect everything to be okay. That's not how it works with her."
Just as she says this, Johnson walks through the door. "Did you talk to Charlotte?" Cameron asks.
"Yeah." He sighs, sitting on the end of the couch.
"What did she say?"
"Guys, I think that Charlotte's life has been a lot harder than she's been letting on." Johnson says, shaking his head at himself.
"What do you mean?"
"Guys, Charlotte won't believe anything we say. When I asked her why, she kind of broke down and yelled at me. But, she did tell me why." He stops, obviously not wanting to tell us the truth.
"Well, what did she say?"
"She said that she can't trust people because she's so used to people leaving her. Her whole life, the people that she cares about would lie to her and just forget her. She said that she's gotten so used to it, and she didn't expect Jack to be any different."
My heart breaks at this realization. People have been leaving Charlotte her whole life, and she thought I would do the same thing. She has no clue how much she really means to me.
"Jack, you okay?" Shawn asks.
"Yeah, we just need to get this done, soon. Mahogany?" I turn back towards Mahogany, waiting for her to continue what she was saying before.
"You need to let Charlotte know that your not like all those other people. She needs to know that you understand what she's been through and that you won't hurt her like that. It may not seem like it, but she's a sensitive girl, Jack. If your gonna get her back, then you need to be careful with what you say."
I think about what Mahogany said for a minute, and I realize that she's completely right. "Thanks, Mahogany." I say, giving her a genuine smile.
"No problem."
We spend most of the day trying to get everything together for the plan. It's all supposed to happen tomorrow after school. The guys were thinking that we need a little more time than that, but I can't wait much longer.
When we finally have everything in place, we stand back and look at it. I couldn't be happier.
All of the furniture is pushed back against the walls. In the middle of the room is a small table with two chairs set across from eachother and a white tablecloth. There is vase of flowers at the center and candles are scattered around the room.
It looks exactly like our first date.
"Alright, remember, 7:00 tomorrow." Johnson says, turning to me.
"Got it." I say.
"Just don't screw it up, okay?"
"I'll try not to." I say.
Everyone starts to make their way upstairs and to their cars. Right before I walk out the door, I turn back to Johnson. "Hey, thanks for being there for Charlotte. I get a feeling that something bad would've happened if you weren't."
"It's no big deal man. I care about her just as much as you do." He says, and I know that it's true.
I walk back over to my house and go up to my bedroom. It's only nine, but I know that it's going to take a while for me to fall asleep.
I get in bed and think about what's going to happen tomorrow. All I know is that tomorrow will either be the best or worst day of my life.

A/n:
So sorry I haven't been updating as much. School started this week. Kill me.
I already have two projects on the second day and it sucks.
Like I said before, I also have practice after school so I don't get home until like three hours after school ends
So sorry about that, but I'll try to update as much as I can. Just don't hate me if I don't update for a few days
