Everyone watches silently as ben and I phase. Our heads & tails reflect our spirits broken spirits. Slowly, we walk away from our family. Turning to the balcony's edge and witness its setting sun. Arriving at the edge of the terrace. We lay side by side resting our heads down on our paws. When we lift our heads, it is to stare out across our home range at the setting sun. At the captivating beauty from fading lights, where my Alejandro so often spends right here watching.....alone.

The knot already in my chest, hardens. causing a small whimper to express itself from me. Neither one us acknowledges the aroma of our dinner waiting within my bedroom brought to us. Or the growling our stomachs made, or even the silent eyes of our family all present anymore. We want to be alone.

I move closer to Rosa giving into her growing concern "They won't eat. I brought them dinner, but they won't eat." My voice full of overwhelming sadness. Rosa embraces me in an attempt to comfort me. Carmen looks to me, her old Alpha and then the pair knowing full well NO ONE present has eaten. Not one of the family would touch their food under such emotional turmoil. I see a familiar look in the eyes of my old Beta. Carmen has made a decision.

This is my family, I must try and change this. Thinking of Alejandro and how he will throw a fit over both his boys and the rest of us for keeping our strength. THIS alone musters just enough strength within me managing a slight smile.......Luna. Looking towards my old alpha and Rosa speak "We will eat; as a family." The three elder she wulves look to me as I nod to them. They go to prepare and bring enough food for all. Turning now, I walk towards the pair, beta joins and accompanies her. When the two arrive, Carmen sits by Kodiak and Beta besides Crimson. However, it is Beta who breaks the silence. Beginning the conversation.

I watch as Carmen approaches them and I join her. Like my new alpha, I take a moment looking outta da lake before I speak. Thinking "I can understand why you sit out here so much sis. Beautiful simply beautiful."

Turning my head away I look to my alpha. "ya have ta eat." His head on his paws he simply stares forward not meeting my gaze. Crimson responds to me

"I can't without Luna."

Getting up, I take off my clothes and phase and sit upright beside Alpha "ya have ta maintain your strength."

"I am fine"

"Liar" I lay down, resting my head on Alpha's shoulders "he's coming home safe & sound."

I growl "Beta? Did you think otherwise."

"Nope" I lift my head and nudge my Alpha. "I just don't want to deal with Luna when he comes home and he sees my nephew & Alpha thin."

I meet his gaze knowing he has a point "He will understand." Coco huffs at me.

"LIES YOU TELL! Who DA FUCK YA LYIN TO ALPHA!! Now YA KNOW as much as I do, LUNA DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHEN IT COMES TO YOU AND BEN!! Imagine him coming home to a thin mate! UH HUH, ya be AIIIGHT!"

Crimson finally huffs a wulf chuckle "this is true."

I add "Come on Ruben, when you're ready. You don't have ta talk, but you have ta try n eat." I lick his muzzle.

"Thank you, Randall." Beta, for the briefest of moments. He brought me out of my despair with the thoughts of my mate ranting and screaming to him and everyone over not caring for us. Not that it would be their fault. But he would not care. However, it works and lifts my spirit just enough.

Beta was talking with alpha. Convincing him to eat. I had to do the same. Licking the side of Kodiak's face. Kodiak, who had placed his head on his paws whining softly. "Kodiak we are bringing him home".
