Chapter 4- Goodbye?

We bowled 2 games. Cody tried to teach me how to bowl since I hadn't been bowling in years. In the end, he let me win both games by "accidently" getting a gutter ball.

After that, we left the bowling alley. It was 2 o'clock. We decided to watch a few movies at my house.

"Any ideas on what to watch?" I asked Cody.

"Nope. You choose." He said.

I chose Dear John. I absolutely loved that movie.

I'm sure it wasn't Cody's first choice but he said to choose.

Halfway through the movie her put his arm around me. It was kind of awkward at first but I got comfortable right away. I snuggled into his arm and cried at the end. Cody chose another movie to put in. I wasn't sure what it was because I was so exhausted.

Codys POV

I put in the hangover. She didn't really seem to mind. It was one of my favorite movies. About 10 minutes into the movie, I looked down at her. She was snuggled in my arm and sleeping peacefully. God, she was gorgeous.

This was a feeling I don't normally get around girls. I am always famous to them. With her, she made me feel... normal I guess. I hoped that me being "Cody Simpson" didn't affect the way she acted towards me.

I stroked her long brown hair with my fingers. I then kissed her forehead. She was gorgeous. Did I mention that? (;

Right then, my phone buzzed... It was Alli.

From: Alli

Where are you Cody? We have to leave in 30 minutes if we're going to make it to New York in time!

crap. How could I forget. I texted back.

To: Alli

Crap. Sorry Alli. Pick me up at Maddie's house.

I quickly found a piece of paper. I scribbled a note on it and left it on her stomach so that she'll read it for sure.

I looked at the window. The bus was here. I covered her up in a blanket and continued to let her sleep. I then quietly exited her house.

Maddie's POV

I woke up and looked around. Where was Cody? The hangover was almost over. I got up and folded the blanker up. As I was about to turn the tv off, I saw a note on the floor. I picked it up and read it.

"I'm sorry but I have to leave. I didn't want to wake you up. You looked so peaceful. (: Call me after you wake up if you want.

-Cody"

I picked up my phone and dialed his number.

"Hello?" He answered after only two rings.

"Um... hey cody. Where'd you go?" I asked.

"Maddie I'm so sorry but I had a concert in New York that I totally forgot about. I had to leave."

My heart dropped but why? He's just a boy. Well a celebrity. Who happens to be a total hunk and who is WAAYY out of my league. Of course he left.

"Oh alright.uhmm.. Bye." I said.

"ok. uhhm... bye maddie." he said. He kind of sounded disapointed.

After I got off the phone with him, I decided to walk over to the hospital where Ashley stays at. I realized I hadn't talked to her since the day of the concert.

"Hey Ashley!" I said barging into her room.

All the nurses and doctors knew me. And I knew them all by name too. I mean, I had spent 2 years here with Ashley almost every day. They knew Ashley very well too. The kind of thought of her as a daughter.

"Oh my gosh! Madison! Thank you SO SO SO much for the tickets. I had the time of my life. I already framed the picture we got of Cody.

I looked up on the wall. It was a big poster. It had me and Ashley on each side of Cody. Ashley had the biggest smile on her face. Even with no hair and hospital wrist bands on her, she looked gorgeous.

I looked at Cody... His eyes were glowing. It looked really sweet. Then I looked at me. I looked like a potatoe. I mean I always do. I've always been insecure. For as long as I can remember. What did Cody want in a girl like me?

I turned back to Ashley.

"It looks amazing." I said to her honestly. "I'm glad you had fun by the way. Guess wha-"

I stopped in mid sentence. I was about to tell her the Cody thing and how we hung out today but I decided against it. Too late.

"What?" She asked with a smile.

"Oh.. umm... I met Alli after the concert too!" I said honestly. I did meet her, but on her bus.

"Aww! Thats cool. I wish I could've but I'm happy for you. "

Now I feel really bad about lying to my best friend. I had to tell her... but my phone interrupted my thoughts.

It was a text....

from Cody.

EEPPP.

I checked it.

"Hey Maddie. Call me as soon as you can. I have a question. (: "

"Well I have to go Ashley. It was nice talking to you. I'm glad you had fun. I'll text you later. okay?"

"Yupp thats cool. Thanks for stopping by Maddie. You're the best."

I walked out while saying bye to all the hospital staff. Right when I got out, I called Cody.

Okay guys so I know this story is kind of boring so far but it will get better. I promise. <33

These are kind of filler chapters.

BUT OMG. I'm meeting Cody tomorrow and I'm freaking out. AHHH. I love that boy so much. I've been reading a ton of fan fictions recently. If you know of any good ones, PLEASE let me know. Thanks guys.
