Chapter 10 mistakes and phone calls

Maddie's POV

I pulled away from kissing him, Did I seriously just do that? What came over me?

I saw as Cody pulled away smiling. I knew that I felt something when we kissed but I also knew it was wrong. I tried to smile back to acknowledge that I liked kissing him but I couldn't bring my lips to move with the tingling overpowering me.

I walked past him and to the back of the bus where Alli was still watching Impractical Jokers.

I sighed as I laid on the little couch. I looked up to Alli and she was looking down at me.

"You just kissed my brother..... didn't you?" She said.

"DUDE! HOW DID YOU KNOW?"

"Well one, he left you with a HUGE smile on your face."

I bring my fingers to my lips and feel a big smile on my face.

"Two, He's been wanting to kiss you since the day he's met you.... it was bound to happen soon."

I felt a blush rise on my cheek. Awwh. The Codster wanted on these lips eh?

"Oh and Three, I walked in on you two. You probably didn't notice me with all the making out going on." She said smirking.

"ALLI!" I shouted at her but it seemed to come from someone else as well.

Cody.

He walked in with a huge smile on his face as well and sat next to me.

I knew I should scoot over or something. I obviously didn't want to though. I just constantly feared being broken hearted by, of all people, Cody.

My phone rang and I took this opportunity to pull myself away from my desperate state and answer my phone.

I picked my phone up as the chorus of "The A Team" by Ed Sheeran rang. Caller ID said " my bestest friend ever<3 Ashley" came up. I caught myself smiling at the contact ID.

"HEEEEYYY MADDIE!" Ashley said.

I looked over at alli, making sure to avoid Cody's eyes, and motioned that I would be in the next room. She nodded but looked confused. I shrugged it off and decided I would tell her later. For now, I have to go talk to my best friend!

"HEEEEYYYY ASSSSHHHHLLLEEEYY!" I yelled.

"What have you been up to? You haven't been to the hospital recently! Is something wrong?" Shoot.

I had just remembered how I decided to tell Ashley later. I guess it's later....

"Ashley I'm fine! Don't worry about me! But I have to tell you something. Don't get mad at me though. You know that your my best friend and I would never do something to hurt you, okay?"

"You're scaring me maddie!"

I laughed. Typical Ashley. "I'm with Cody right now...." I said trailing off.

"Cody Kepler? Ew. Why would you be with him? "

"Ew no! I'm with Cody Simpson..."

"Holy crap! Nuh uh! Your lying. Prove it!"

"How?" I asked. Of course she didn't believe me. It's cody Simpson for gods sake.

"Let me talk to him."

"Uhmm..." I said hesitantly. I couldn't talk to Cody. Shut up Maddie. You already agreed to go on a date with him tonight.

I had to talk to Cody anyways. Might as well give my best friend the opportunity to talk to her idol.

"COODDEESS!" I yelled to the back of the bus.

In a matter of seconds, he appeared with a slight pant. "WhATS WRONG! ARE YOU OK?" He said with much worry that I found it kind of....cute.

I giggled. "Everything's fine. Can you say hi to Ashley on the phone?"

After a questioning look, he picked up my phone hesitantly. "Umm...hello?"

I grabbed my phone back and put it on speaker. I must've just missed the high pitch scream that emerged from the speaker of my phone.

"Oh my GOD! No way. Maddie. Is this some kind of recording or joke or something? Oh my god. Am I on punk'd or something. Holy crap!" She said with so much excitement in her voice, it was actually kind of funny.

"Ashley, it's me. Did maddie just tell you she was with me?" Said cody.

"Oh my god. He said my name. Oh my god." She said in between heavy breaths.

"Ashley I gotta go. I'll talk to you later. Bye. Love ya."

"Bye. Muaahh." She said with a kissy noise at the end.

I laughed as I hung up and turned to cody. "Thanks. She didn't really believe me." I said to him.

"It's alright". Now go get ready. Two hours." He said with a smirk.

Holy crap. I had two hours to get ready for my date with Cody Simpson?

AN- sorry about the lack of updates. I really hate school. Being in all honors classes sucks. I'm gonna try and update more now that I got an iPhone. Don't worry. I still get on wattpad all the time<3
