Mackenzie's POV
We left the orphanage. I'm free! Finally! I'm surprised no one has asked me and Jayden why we have bruises and a black eye. Maybe they don't want to say anything. "Hey Kenzie?" Conner said breaking the silence. "Yeah." I Said snapping out of my daze. "What were you day dreaming about that was so important you missed an entire conversation?" Conner asked laughing a little. "Nothing." I Said. "Come on tell us." Lauren said. In the limo there were me, Jayden, Conner, Asher, Lauren, and Johnny. Mr Orlando was in a different car. "Do you really want to know?" I asked them. "Yes!" They all Said in unison. "I was wondering why you didn't ask what happened to me and Jayden. I just assumed you didn't want to say anything." I admitted. "Oh, what did happen?" Johnny asked to break the silence. I looked at Jayden. She nodded as if to say it was ok for me to tell them. "Well, you could say that Mrs Wincer wasn't the nicest person. Last night it was around 12am, we all had a argument with her and I was locked in my room. Jayden defended me and was thrown in so hard she hit the floor. Like a big brother should, he defended Jayden. Jayden was pulled out of the room and beaten. It was so bad she passed out. She woke up screaming. With me, I laughed at like 4 in the morning when we had to get up because you guys were coming. This happened today. I asked who was coming and I was beaten bad. About the same as Jayden. I apparently passed out. And they said before I woke up I was shaking like crazy. Also according to them, I Screamed bloody murder when I woke up." I explained. Lauren and Johnny's mouths were open in shock. "I can't believe that!" Johnny said angry. He looked so mad. Why was he so mad? It's not like he likes us right? "That's horrible! I'm so sorry Kenzie. You too Jayden. Nether of you deserved that." Said Lauren giving us a hug. "Thanks LoLo." I Said hugging her back. "Still, I shouldn't have said anything. It would have saved you so much pain and suffering if I kept my mouth shut." Asher said. I could see the tears dwelling up in his eyes. "Hey. It's ok, I'm glad you said something. That showed you cared." Jayden said hugging her brother. After that she went back to snuggling in conners chest. There was a awkward silence. Oh no! A unicorn just died! "Guys, because of the silence a unicorn just died." I Said laughing a little at my dumb remark. "Omg Kenz!" Asher said laughing with me. "Are you guys dating?" Lauren asked. "Nope! He's/ She's like my brother/sister!" We Said at the same time. "I ship it." She Said Under her breath. "Hey! I heard that!" I Said acting offended. "Oh! Were here!" Johnny said. He changed the subject very quickly. This place was huge! It was like a castle. "This place is huge!" I exclaimed. This is what it looks like

"Yea, for a three person family this place is big." Asher said. "Yea, but it's nice having a lot of room." Johnny said glaring at Asher a little. "Well, let's go!" Lauren said as the car stopped. She said thank you and we all got out of the car. We walked inside and Lauren walked us to our rooms. This is my room

"I hope you like them." Lauren said a little nervous. Me and Jayden ran up and hugged her. "We love them!" We Said in unison causing all of us to giggle. "Yay!" She said giggling with us. We ran into my room. "So, besties, crush, spill!" I Said to Lauren. "Well, by besties are You too, Nadia Turner, and Brynn Rumfallo. Crush, Hayden Summerall!" She admitted. "Who's that!" She and Jayden said in unison. She pulled out her phone and showed us his insta. He was so cute.

As I read the comments I was shocked. There so cute! "I SHIP IT." Me and Jayden screamed at the same time. Asher came running in. "Why are you guys screaming?" She Asked. "No reason." Me and Jayden said slowly sitting down on the bed. He left the room. We all start laughing hard. Johnny comes in. "Hey Laur! Dad needs to see you in the living room." He Said stepping inside. "Ok I'll be right back Girls!" She Said happy and left the room. Jayden went to go "hangout" with Conner. We all know that's not what's happening but ok. It was just me and Johnny. "So," me said sitting on the bed. "Do you have any hobbies?" He asked. "Yeah, I sing and dance. We didn't do it at the orphanage though. We weren't aloud to sing so I'm probably rusty." I Said with a little laugh. "Well, can I hear?" He asked. He clearly wants to know what I sound like. "Ok" I Said quick. "I won't stop fighting the monsters, trying to rise above but they pulling me under. And I'm tryin' to keep my feet on the ground I stumble but I'll never stay down. I won't stop fighting I won't stop fighting, fighting the monsters." After I was done Johnny started clapping. I just laughed at him. (The songs up above^) "That was amazing Mackenzie!" He Said. "Please, call me Kenzie." I Said to him. "Ok Kenzie. How about we get out of here, go do something fun." He said with a mischievous look in his eyes. "What did you have in mind?" I asked him. "You will see if you trust me. Do you?" He asked looking into my eyes his hand outstretched for me to take it. "I feel like I shouldn't sense I just met you, but I some how do." I Said taking his hand. He led me outside and got into the car. "Come on!" He Said. I got into the car and the driver started driving.
