~Eren's POV~

I was woken up by the light nudges of someone shaking me. My need for sleep was still too strong so I decided to ignore who ever was provoking me to get out of bed. The thought then came back to me and I realized I had fallen asleep in Mikasa's bed and it was most likely her trying to wake me.

In a hoarse voice, I groaned, "What Mikasa? Just let me sleep for a little bit more."

The poking and prodding soon stopped which relaxed my body a little more. However, it was brought to my attention when a pair of hands grabbed hold of my shirt and yanked me off the bed. A loud thud echoed through the room as I hit the floor.

"What the fuck, Mikasa!" I complained as I picked up my aching body from the ground.

When looking up, I realized Mikasa wasn't the culprit. It was the man I had fallen asleep thinking about. The short, homophobic, college boy with the undercut that was named Levi attempted at towering over me, but utterly failed when I stood up on both my feet.

With a straight face, he grabbed my neck and shoved me on the bed in a hostile matter. Nothing else mattered, but the fact that I couldn't breath. He stared at me with cold eyes before letting go and watched amusingly as I coughed my lungs out.

"What was that...for Levi?!" I screamed with holding my sore throat.

"I'd prefer if people don't yell in my house, it's startling," he spoke in a calm tone while looking down at me.

I gave him a 'WTF' look only because that's a terrible reason to choke someone. I struggled to regain my balance as I looked down at Levi again. His arms were crossed as if he was expecting something from me.

Rubbing my neck, I gave a nasty tone, "Why do you keep staring?"

He rolled his eyes before he pointed behind me. Looking back, I noticed an adorable Mikasa clinging to her pillow as she slept soundly. The entire situation was dumb as it is, I was still puzzled at why he almost killed me. Pushing his chest to give some distance, I decided to question him in a whispering manner.

"Why'd you point to Mikasa?"

He dusted the place where I had shoved him to say as if I were dirty before replying, "Mikasa's my little sister and I'd rather not have boys sleeping in the same bed as her."

I raised my arms up only to let them smack back down at my sides in disbelief, "We're friends! Do you hear me? Friends. And why would you even check up her, it's not like you guys are close sibling."

He covered his mouth to hold in a chuckle, but instantly attained a straight face again, "Well it was too quiet and it made me skeptical. Plus our mom is back, she's downstairs waiting."

Scoffing at his response, I turned my back to face the sleeping Mikasa. I tapped her nose to get the most cutest response. She twitched her nose followed by her shifting her sleeping position in her bed. I leaned down centimeters from her ear.

"Wake up!" I hollered making her jump.

She raised her head inside the dimmed room to see Levi and I starring at her. Her hand rubbed her drowsy eyes before letting her feet hang from the edge of bed. Her fatigued self finally got up on her rug—a lot calmer than I did—to stretch out her arms.

"Hey..." She said within a yawn.

"Mom's downstairs," Levi bluntly said before walking out. All that was heard was the stomping he'd made as he went down the stairs leaving Mikasa and I in the darkened bedroom.

"Your brother's a dick," I stated before exiting the room.

"I know," she whined, "But why'd you have to scream in my ear."
