~Eren's POV~

My legs hung off the bed ready to endure whatever was coming next. At this point, I should just accept that fact the Levi and I...may be something. I'm not sure what that thing is. But from the feelings that have been boiling inside me, I can tell I don't see Levi just as Mikasa's older brother.

"Yeah, two years ago. Levi doesn't like talking about it though."

Mikasa let out a worrisome sigh and hesitated prior to talking, "My parents nor Levi ever told me. If you want to know you can ask him later."

We both rested in silence watching the flames dimmer as if we were a cinema. The guilt growing in my body was still staggering. If Mikasa were to catch Levi and I fooling around upstairs before, I sure would've been dead meat.

"Hey Eren?"

"Why do you always hang out at my house instead of your own? You sleepover my place for days at a time and don't even call your home too. Don't get me wrong, I love every second I spend with you, but I'm just interested."

"Oh, I just don't get along with them that often. Dad's a drunky and Mom's so overflowed with her own insecurities that she never leaves the house. I tell them that they both need to get some serious help, but they never listen because I'm just some 'dumb kid'," I explained with little feeling.

"I'm...I'm sorry," she softly said, "All this time and I didn't know."

"Don't be sorry, I'm perfectly fine on my own!" I cheered trying to brighten up the mood, "Hey man, how about we call Jean, Connie, and the others if they wanna hang out tomorrow night? Actually be somewhere instead of cooped up inside your house with that bum Levi!"

Her smile returned the moment I offered the idea, "Yes, we definitely should!"
