~Eren's POV~

It was easy as hell for Mikasa to fall asleep on basically half of my body. It's quite difficult to get at least some rest when there's a weight practically crushing your organs. I was left with a clouded mind and a white ceiling to stare at as she dreamt.

Struggling to breath, I placed my hands underneath my head for support as a pillow. I was surprisingly calm knowing that Mikasa was at my side. Her aura is usually everything includes chill and tranquil.

A few hours went by before the small grunts of Mikasa were made. She lifted to her head to look me in my sleepy eyes.

"Hey buddy," I greeted while patting her head, "It's past sunset, wanna make some s'mores?"

With her eyelids half open, she nodded once before plopping her head back into my chest making me jolt upward.

Slowly and cautiously, I pushed my body up with my forearms and waited for Mikasa to get off of me. Playfully poking her forehead, I moved the long strands of hair from her face to see if she already fell asleep again.

"MIKASA!" I belted making her eyes shoot open.

She looked around frantically as if there was some emergency, but only found me laughing.

On the brink of crying tears of joy, I watched as she finally got up to leave the room and grabbed the grocery bag she had placed down earlier. I could tell she was already grumpy now that I disturbed her sleep. Although, she stormed back into the room to throw a blue tank top on my half naked body.

"It's Levi's," she said, "It'd be best if you didn't eat eaten up by bugs outside. And don't tell Levi that I took it."

I nodded before slipping it on with ease and followed behind her. There was no sign on her parents or her brother. Which meant they're still out and Levi is most likely in his room.

Leaving out the backdoor, we were confused when we saw a small fire already lit. The warm colors swayed alive as they blended in with the burning logs and small sticks. There sat Levi reading a book with his legs crossed in front of the flames.

"Oh, you're finally here," Mikasa's brother spoke once the sound of the backdoor slamming shut was heard, "I already got the fire."

Both Mikasa and I were shocked at how and why he did this.

"Eren and I were supposed to do it together!" She blurted out with a hint of jealously, "How did you even know we were making s'mores?!"

Levi stood up on his feet and brushed the excess dirt and dead leaves from his bum before talking, "I heard you guys talking before. You guys are oddly loud."

"That doesn't mean you invite yourself!" Mikasa screamed back while placing the supplies on the ground, "Just leave!"

Mikasa hurried behind Levi and pushed his back all the way to the door. After a meter of shoving, he slapped her hands away and returned inside without a word. Even though Levi acts agitated all the time, I could tell that he was sincerely agitated at how his sister was acting.

The black sky had already had it's stars sprinkled all across like a canvas. The moon was the only light—besides the fire—reflecting down onto the Earth. Mikasa sat closely next to me as she rummaged through the plastic bag to whip out one stick and a marshmallow. Stabbing the sweet through the stick, she handed it to me.

The stick was rather short so the heat from the flames was warming up both the marshmallow and the tip of my hand. While roasting, I looked over to Mikasa to find her already preparing the gram crackers and chocolate for me.
