Rafael and Juliana Barba were getting ready for the convention, which was extremely sophisticated for a journalism convention, as Rafael Barba was thinking quietly to himself.
"Juliana.... do you want to take the book deal?" he asked suddenly.
Juliana sighed. "Maybe, but.... I don't know. It's a lot to work out, mi vida."
"How so?" he asked.
"Well, so many different things, I mean, we have to figure out what we can say without ruining our careers, or how we can figure out times for interviews, and the whole financial part, Rafi," she rationalized. "Unless, you wanna do it. If you think we can do this, that's all I need," she promised. "All things considered, we could do this if we really wanted to."
"Juliana, I don't wanna force you into anything," Barba promised. "We're in this together."
"Rafael Barba, I already pretty much do want to take this deal. The money would be good for us, and you and I have both always wanted to make a difference in society. I'm perfectly good wit this if you wanna take it, Rafi," Juliana smiled. "If you decide that you wanna do this, Ion have any problems wit that."
"Thank you, mi amor. Let's go," he nodded as they headed out, dressed for the convention.****
They both gracefully walked the red carpet along with the other panel guests as they waved and smiled silently.
"I feel like one of those f**kin movie stars," Juliana murmured quietly.
"Me too, baby," Rafael whispered as they finally stepped off of the red carpet, away from all of the flashing cameras and yelling.
"You know, I really underestimated the legitimacy and popularity of this site," Juliana sighed, impressed.
"We both definitely did," Rafael agreed.
"Well, I'll take that as a compliment," Christine Williams chuckled. "We're sort of the Worldstar of the honest journalism world, but with money."
"Ah. Of course. I've looked at some of the material. Very bold," Rafael Barba nodded.
"Thank you, I guess," she laughed.
"So," Juliana began. "How long until the panel?"
"Well," Williams sighed,"It'll be in about an hour and a half. Explore the convention as you wish, just head over to Stage Six in about an hour or so."
Juliana nodded. "Of course. We'll see you then."
"See you," Christine nodded.Rafael and Juliana both nodded as they walked away from the journalist, heading in the opposite direction, exploring the main floor of the convention.
"Wow. Interesting stuff," Rafael looked around.
"Yeah, definitely. I didn't know it wasn't just journalists here waiting to be discovered," Juliana noted.
"Hey, there, miss! I'm with Lewis-Grayson, we're a controversial photography duo! You have the right look to be one of our models, would you like a brochure?" a man called at Juliana.
She shook her head softly. "No, thanks."
"Damn, baby," Rafael Barba smirked. "Good thing I married you; Ion want anyone else takin you from me. You're mine," he whispered huskily into her ear.
"And you're mine," Juliana agreed quietly. "Nothing will change that; not a bunch of interviews, or some book deal."
Rafael Barba nodded. "Thank you."
"You don't have to thank me. Whatever you want, I want it too, mi amor," Juliana promised.
Rafael sighed. "You drive me crazy when you talk like that, you know that?"
Juliana smirked. "That's why I do it, baby."
