Twenty-two

"Are you okay?" Jay asks as he sees Logan come in right after me.

His right cheek is coloured pink, right where my palm hit him. His eyes speak thunder before he runs up the stairs and disappears.

I nod, "We just talked about a video idea." I lie.

We go and sit back on the table with Brandon and Andy, they both know Logan and I got into a fight, but are kind enough not to say anything.

"So Jay, what brings you here?" Brendan asks, breaking the silence. I smile at him after I grab Jay's hand.

"Oh you know bro, I had meetings in town, some shoots, I wanted to visit Brooke and well basically just the usual LA business."

"Speaking of business, I should give Josh a call."

I get up from the table, give Jay a kiss on his cheek and whisper in his ear "Are you okay being alone for a sec?"

"Yeah, babe I'll Just chill with these guys." I'm glad Jay is so easygoing. Andy and Brendan seem to like him, Jay is quite likeable to both males and females.

It's one of his good qualities, even though it's his likeability that makes me distrust him the most, his likeability to other women I mean.

All the boys wanna be him and all the girls wanna sleep with him or so he says.

I walk outside to dial Josh's number.

"Brooke?! Finally! Can you tell me what the fuck is going on?" Josh asks.

How do I bring this understandably when I don't even know what's going on between Jay and me?

"Jay was just here all of sudden, like old times. But to be honest I don't know What's up between us. We went out, paps were there our picture got taken. It's Just a mess really."

"Ok, So What I'm getting from this is... You're with him for the sex, He's with you for publicity and....sex. Am I wrong?" Josh says jokingly even though he's not really joking.

Josh always liked Jay, He's a gorgeous man so then it's easy to get on Josh's good side. But When Jay cheated on me Josh was the one ready to cut his balls off.

"I mean the sex ìs great(...) I don't know okay?!"

"You need to figure that out, but first business. Jeff and I are coming over to discuss video ideas with you and Logan and later today you are filming with James Charles and Emma Chamberlain."

"Eeeeh Logan and I are not in the best place right now though..."

Josh sighs on the other end of the line.

"See you in an hour! Love Ya."

"Love you"

I sigh. 

When I turn back around I see Jay leaning in the door opening, like a beautiful Thai beach horse with curly manes. I hope he didn't hear anything.

"Hey babe, I have a meeting in...well now. I'll text you okay."

Thank god, he didn't.

"Hurry up then!" I laugh while running towards him playfully.

He lifts me from the ground and swings me over his shoulder, I shriek and laugh.

I look over his shoulder only to see an annoyed Logan on his couch, laptop on his lap.

My fingers move through Jay's dark blonde curls, as a whiff of my own expensive rose shampoo reaches my nose. Hmm...

In one smooth movement, I feel the hard solid surface back under my feet. May I remind you that I'm still wearing the same pink lingerie covered by the silk robe.
