Chapter 3: Elite Four? Yeah, and Achilles.
The trainers and Beowulf arrived at the island and walked up to the cave, to a complete silence.
Gold shattered it, "This is where the all powerful elite four lives?!"
The others didn't answer, but he did have a point, it was a volcano on a mostly deserted island in the middle of the ocean. Being dark inside there was no doubt that there would be lots and lots of zubats and golbats inside. It was cold in the cave, despite in being in a volcano, there were the remnants of old meals, fish and birds mostly. As they passed the bloody skeletal remains of a psyduck with a gravestone next to it Beowulf was reminded strongly of Grendel and quickly turned away feeling sick, he looked over at Blue. He was whispering to a freaked out Golduck, huh, that must be psyduck evolution. He could see why it was freaked out. Yellow stepped in front of everyone and they stopped.
"Lance? Hey! I can tell you are here! Come out of your hiding spot!" When there was no answer she took a plastic candy wrapper out of her hat, "It you don't come out now I'm going to drop this wrapper on the ground and leave it t-"
A dark shadowy figure flew out of the darkness hitting Yellow with a painful THUNK.
When the two figures stopped wrestling Beowulf could see a tall red haired trainer standing over an annoyed Yellow holding the candy wrapper as if it was toxic waste. He snarled in a very animal like tone, "How many times have I told you not to do that? Your going to get yourself killed! And also," He looked at the other trainers, "why are they here?!" He stood up completely and stared at Beowulf. His eyes were the color of blood and he had it smeared on his cheek, the king also noted his long hooked fangs and claw like fingers. His cloak was torn and mangled as if crushed and ripped in many battles. It probably was because of the fact that the rest of the trainers had already said that this person was kind of crazy and liked to battle.
"Lance," said Yellow getting to her feet, "these are the other trainers and a new comer-" she was cut off by Lance's interruption of:
"That guy? The realistic one?" He was pointing at the king, Beowulf opened his mouth to respond but Daisy slapped her hand over in. He looked down at her frustratedly.
Yellow rolled her eyes, "Yes, the realistic one, what one of us other than him did you think?! His name is Beowulf he-"
"Oh! The one Lorelei is always talking about?" Lance said excitedly.
"Yes. How many other Beowulfs have you heard of? Also, can you lead us to Agatha and the others? We need to speak to them."
Lance shrugged and leaned towards the shadowed wall, "AGATHA! GET OUT HERE!" There was then an awkward moment in which nothing moved or made noise, then a much older women fell out of the wall. Literally. She landed on her face at her younger leader's feet, it looked like it hurt.
"Ah! Agatha!" Oak said happily as the women got up, "We need your help."
"Again?"
"This time it isn't with making a sandwich or geting Blue's arm bandaged because Daisy through a knife at him."
"Oh, still."
Everyone stood in silence except for Blue who had fallen over and was laughing hysterically, then Agatha asked tentatively, "Um, what do you need help with then?"
Blue stood up, "We need you to raise some people from the dead."
She blinked at him, "Say again?"
Blue told her again, bent down and whispered who he meant in her ear. Her face went white, "I- I don't know if I can. They aren't no, they are too long dead, I can't..." He whispered something else and she took a deep breath, "Okay... I'll try." Blue stood up again.
"Good."
About three hours later Lance was eating a fish mournfully at the same time as informing Beowulf about pollution and how they needed to save the animals. Beowulf was poking the ground with his sword, Yellow was singing about her own series, Blue was racing Daisy around the rock the others were sitting on, and Red, Lorelei, Bruno, Gold, Green, and Crystal were playing a six way version of a game using their hands.
Finally after what seemed like hours Agatha managed to soman a shade, when Lorelei saw this she jumped up and yelled at the shade, "Hey! Look over here!" It changed position, "I'm over here! Achilleus! Do you hear me?!" When there was no response she said, "Stay with us! Come on! Stay!"
She thrust out her hand into the shade, it shuddered, then it started to solidify. Slowly, it was filled in, blood, bones, and flesh slowly regrown.
The figure stood up slowly, rolling their head up and opening their eyes, his batal armor shown in the dim light, his sword glinted, Beowulf tightened his hand on his own. Then the man's mouth opened, "Greetings, I am Achilleus."
