Chapter Forty Nine

Camilla's POV

One of my favorite creation of God is the sunrise, not because of its stunning light but because sunrise constantly remind me that it's a new day, a new chance, a new hope, a new beginning. Whenever I get the chance to see a glimpse of it, I can't help but smile.

Have you experience watching sunrise while on a beach? The most beautiful art my eyes have laid on. The way those rays of light reflects on the water is just incredible, but that was then.

Not until the sun's rays beamed on her, how those lights touches her nose, how it shines in her eyes, serenity.

"Thanks, God" I whispered.

"May sinasabi ka?" Clay asked habang pinagmamasdan ang paligid.

I just shook my head and gave a smile as an answer.

"Ma'am, dahan-dahan po" pagpapaalala ni manong bangkero habang pababa kami sa bangka niya. "Tawagan niyo na lang po ang terminal kung magpapasundo na kayo, enjoy po Ma'am!"

"Salamat ho" sagot ko.

I waved my hand goodbye kay manong habang paatras ang bangka niya, we're on a private island. An island owned by my dad's client na naging kaibigan niya, I needed time alone with her, we both need this. A place where we can forget our troubles for the meantime, a breaktime.

Tinignan ko mga dalang gamit namin na nakalapag sa sand, medyo marami-rami sila. I turned around to look for Clay kasi hello? Di ko kaya lahat ng 'to.

Then I saw her, arms are widely spread, her face facing the sky, smiling habang dahan-dahan iniikot ang katawan.

"Love" I called her, ayoko man basagin moment mo pero di ko talaga 'to kaya hehe "a lil' help here" giving my apologetic smile.

She runs back to where I'm standing, saka kinuha mga ibang gamit. "Ano nginingiti mo dyan?" She asked.

"Wala naman" pagsisinungaling ko. "Ulitin mo ulit yun habang naka bikini ka ha?" I requested habang nakangisi sa babaeng mukhang sasapakin ako.

"Ewan ko sayo" pagtataray niya saka nagwalk-out.

I chuckled. "Biro lang hoy" pahabol ko.

Di namin napigilang mamangha sa ganda ng lugar, it has this contemprorary looks while preserving its history. "Ang galing" Clay uttered saka dali daling binuksan ang pintuan patungong balkonahe "wooow!!!" Manghang komento niya na parang isang batang unang nakakakita ng bisikleta.

Sinundan ko siya and she's right, the view is undeniably perfect. "This is paradise" I said while hugging her from behind.

"Yung view? Or yung katawan ko?" She asked.

Bigla ako kumalas sa pagkayakap ko sa kanya at hinarap siya sakin, I placed the back of my hand on her forehead to check her temperature. Nilapit ko rin ang mukha ko sa mukha niya to check her eyes, kaya bigla siyang napaatras.

"What are you doing?" Confusingly asked by my adorable baby love.

"I'm just checking you out" I answered.

"For what?" She asked again.

"Baka nadedeliryo ka na" I answered na mukhang mas naguluhan siya base sa expression ng face niya. "Nag-joke ka kasi hehe" habol ko.

She rolled her eyes saka pumasok ng bahay, kamot ulo kong sinundan ang naasar na bata. "Love, anong gusto mong ulam?" Tanong ko sa babaeng mukhang nireregla.

She slowly turned to face me, crossing her arms, looked at me from head to toe. Okay gusto kong isipin na ako gusto niyang ulam, na ako ang gusto niyang kainin pero she's flashing her most sarcastic smile ever na parang may ibang ibig sabihin.
