Chapter Eighteen

I checked my phone for the fiftieth time this hour as I saw it finally read 4:00 which I had planned on that time to get ready for tonight, Hale had texted me this morning saying that he'd pick me up around 5:30 instead of 6:30 because of the movie times.

I slipped on a pair of skinny jeans and then threw on a black tank top with a brown jacket over top, I shuffled through my suitcase to find my brown boots but failed "shit must have left them back at the university" I mumbled. I replaced the boot idea with my thigh high ones, they were one of my favourite pairs of shoes, they were tight and accented my thighs. I used to never like my thighs and my hips, because of my South American heritage my thighs, waist, and chest grew more significantly larger.

I always thought I was fat but in high school I soon came to love all my curves, but by far my hips and thighs are bigger then my chest. I straightened my hair and applied some makeup then put a spritz of perfume on my neck and wrists. "Ok Talia you're gonna be fine" I whispered to myself as I looked in the mirror. I checked the clock to see that it said 5:25 but it didn't seem like I took that long to get ready, I grabbed my small purse and slung it over my shoulder and walked out.

When I got out of my room and into the bar almost everyone was there and they all looked at me as I froze stuff when I locked eyes with Juice. You could hear a pin drop the room felt so silent "uh T-Talia you look really nice" Half Sack said breaking the silence as everyone turned to him as he awkwardly stood there "I just thought it would be nice to say" he spoke quietly as he trailed off of his sentence.

"Were you going?" I heard Juice say "just uh going out with a friend" I said as I avoided all eye contact with anyone as possible "who is this friend" when I looked to him he had both hands pressed firmly on the bar top and a glare on his face and I could tell he already knew who it was. "It's uh Hale" I said as my eyes looked to my shoes "Jesus I thought we had a deal with this whole deputy thing" Clay said with a beer in his right hand. I sighed "I know" I said quietly, I was waiting for Juice to say something, I knew he would scold me or bitch me out so I was just waiting for it.

"Alright if you wanna do this then go" it shocked me when I realized it came from Juices lips "what?" I said surprised "you were right, she's an adult we can't force her to not do something" the look on his face still looked angry but he finally relaxed "thanks" I said and smiled lightly. I saw Happy out of the corner of my eye on the couch with a toothpick in his mouth chewing on it harshly, I started to the door as Juice yelled "10:30 is the latest!"I shook my head and walked to the parking lot.

I was met with Hales Jeep that he usually drove around but I thought it was odd I mean it is a police vehicle after all. I climbed into the vehicle and saw Hale, he had some jeans and a fitting t-shirt "you look amazing" he smiled when he saw me. "Thanks Deputy, you clean up nice yourself" I smirked as he laughed at me and started up the Jeep and drove off.

We pulled into this small diner "ain't you just a romantic" I said as I looked at the bright neon sign "they even got 2 for 5$ burgers" I joked "there isn't as good of a restaurant pick around here" he scratched the back of his neck slightly embarrassed "I'm just kidding Hale, I love it" I smiled at him and walked inside.

The dinner was dull, not the food, our conversation wasn't good and we both seemed to have nothing in common but we each tried to joke it off. We pulled up to the theatre to see no lights on "uh Hale I think it's closed" I said "it shouldn't be" he hoped out of the car to go look at a note on the front door and then ran back. "What was it?" I asked "due to an unfortunate incident the theatre will be closed for about a week" he recited from the note "jeez I'm sorry about this Talia" Hale said "hey it's alright, I think we can both agree it's been an awkward date already" I laughed as he did too.

"Yeah" he said "I think friends is good for us" I said and looked to him to see his reaction "yeah that would be nice" he smiled, I felt bad for friend zoning him but I was glad that he understood. He pulled up to Teller Morrow and I looked up at the large gates that were still open "thanks again Hale" I said, I leaned close to him and planted a kiss on his cheek and walked out of the car. I waved to him as he drove off, I reached into my purse to try and find my phone to text Juice that I was home but couldn't "god dammit" I cursed "must've left it in Hales car or something" I said quietly.

I heard cars pass me but one caught my attention, it came to a screeching stop beside me and I stood in shock and terror, the black van had pulled up and opened its side door. Two guys in dark masks hopped out and ran at me, I tried to scream but a hand that came over my mouth stopped me. I kicked and screamed as they drugged me into the van and slammed the door, I flayed around trying to lose their grip but with a sharp pain to my head everything went black.

Juices POV

She should've been back by now, it was 11:43 now and Talia is usually never late "have you called her?" Chibs asked, everyone had stayed with me trying to calm me down, "of course like twenty times and I texted her, she won't pick up" I said panicked.

"Maybe she's uh, you know, staying the night" I turned my head sharply to Half Sack after he spoke and charged at him, I reached for a fistful of his shirt as I brought him close to me "don't you ever say that" I spat at him as he started to breath heavily "hey Juice we need him" Clay said as he sipped his beer calmly. I released his grip "I hate to say it Juice but Half Sack could be right" Jax said and leaned on the bar top.

I sighed and sat down "I'll call her again" I mumbled and dialed her number, the phone rang three times before I heard a clock on the other side "Talia" I said loudly as I stood up "uh hi Juice this ain't Talia, I found her phone in my car" I heard a voice say on the other line "wait who is this?" I asked as everyone looked to me "Hale" I exhaled sharply "is Talia with you?" I asked concerned "uh no I dropped her off a while ago" he said.

My heart sank when I heard what came from the other side of the phone "when?" I said almost about to break down "uh 8:30 ish, movie theatre was closed so" I didn't let him finish I had closed my phone and dropped it on the floor "he dropped her off almost 4 hours ago" I whispered as everyone had a look of shock and worry on their faces "oh my god" I said quietly again. I raced to the parking lot and to the entrance gates, I looked both ways and say nothing "Talia!" I screamed as all I heard was my echo in the night "Tal" I stopped halfway as I looked down to see the purse she had on before she left.

I picked it up and traced my thumb over it "Juicy boy" I heard Tig say as everyone ran up to me. I broke down beside Tig as he wrapped his arms around my chest to keep me from falling down "TALIA!" I screamed before I broke into a heap of tears "I know buddy, I know" Tig said into my ear as he kept me on my feet.

I looked to Happy who was running his hands over his head and looked to the side walk, he turned to us "that van never showed up today did it?" He asked but no one said anything "We will find her."

This really isn't one of my favourite chapters, it feels really rushed and I'm so sorry for that but I enjoyed the end way better then Talias POV. I hope you all loved it and I know it was a quick update lol, I think I might update faster now that I have free time at work every now and then.
