Chapter Thirty-Three

I sat up right on the side of the bed as I slipped the grey t-shirt over my head and pulled it down so that it hugged my body just right, I heard his grumble behind me  and I couldn't help but look over my shoulder at him.

The sun ray lines lines caused by the shades on the window casted a perfect golden hour glow to Happy's face. I smiled as I watched him open his eyes slowly, he spotted my clothes and sighed loudly "are you sure you want to go today? I mean the teacher did say you could stay home as long as you needed" he said in a groggy voice.

"I know" I looked away from Happy and to the wall across from me that a mirror was placed in front of "I can't be afraid of the world anymore" I said as I stared into my eyes across from me "the world is a scary place, everyone should be afraid" he said and rolled onto his back.

I inhaled deeply "I mean I can't just be afraid to go out Happy, the world is huge and I should learn to be less afraid, you knew this day was going to come weren't you?" I asked. He rolled forward and sat up behind me and put his legs on either side of me and he wrapped himself around me from behind "of course I just didn't think so soon" he mumbled into the crook of my neck.

"But you're brave, so fucking brave" he spoke as he leaned toward me and kissed my cheek "I love you" I said suddenly almost startling him "what?" He asked as he moved his head back "I said I love you, you act like I've never said it before" I chuckled lightly "I know but" he paused and looked away but looked back quick "still?" He smirked as I hit his shoulder playfully.

"Alright you two I have a big schedule today so I gotta get her to school!" Tigs voice yelled as he forcefully knocked on the door, I shook my head as I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my bag and slipped it on my shoulder "Clay said the bike should be fixed soon then I can drive you" Happy said as I walked to the door "Alright" I said as I opened the door to reveal Tig standing close to the door almost making me run into him.

"Let's go doll" he said and turned and walked away from me I laughed as Happy followed me to the bar only in his jeans, he took a seat at the bar as I went to walk by he grabbed my back pocket of my skinny jeans and pulled me back to him.

I faced him again with his hands on my butt "alright you be safe please, Tig will be with you the whole day, I'll see you later baby" he mumbled baby as he leaned up and quickly kissed me and slipped his tongue into my mouth but our tiny make out was cut short with hollers from the guys as they hit their hands on the wooden bar top.

I laughed and pulled away "bye Talia" Juice waved to me as I went to the door but only got to the handle of the door before Juice called my name again "you better give Happy back his balls though today, we kinda need them" Juice shrugged as everyone laughed at him as I flipped him off as I walked out the door. I sat down behind Tiggy on his bike as he kicked off and out of the parking lot and out on the open road.

We pulled up to the school as Tig found a parking spot free and close enough to the door "so how long is your classes?" He asked "oh for today it's just the one class, I was told to take baby steps, so I'll go in and do my usual class and everyday for a week I'll do a different class, next week I will do two classes, then three, and etc" I said Tig nodded as he watched me as I pulled open the double doors and walked inside.

The class fell silent when I approached inside and the teachers eyes gave a worried look to me as I gave him an awkward smile in return, he walked towards me with a letter in his hand and slipped it to me very uncomfortably might I add, I just thanked him and sat down in an open desk beside a girl who moved away as I sat but it questioned me why. The teacher cleared his throat "just try to catch on Talia" he said "ok back to the symptoms" his voice boomed as he turned around to the smart board again.

I walked outside as the bell rang and saw Tig sitting on his bike watching girls walk by him giggling "watch yourself Tiggy they could be underage" I commented as I lifted the strap of my backpack around my shoulder "your the only college kid I'm looking at darling" he lowered his sunglasses lightly and winked at me and laughed when I scoffed at him.

"So where to kiddo" he asked as I saddled the seat behind him "I thought we were going home?" I asked and watched him roll up his sleeve and look at his watch "ah we got time" before I could ask where we were heading he had already started the bike and was backing out.

It didn't take long to reach his destination because before I knew it we were parked in front of a Dairy Queen "really?" I smirked "what? We don't have one back in Charming" he commented and walked inside with me behind him.

We ordered quick and sat down with our food but I couldn't help look over at a couple across the restaurant with a new born in a high chair as they fed him and I smiled "what's so special about that?" Tig asked as he stuffed his face with fries "I don't know Tig, I just like the idea of it I guess"I shrugged and turned back to my food.

"Kids aren't that great, mine are still nightmares and they're almost adults" he laughed "besides I thought the pregnancy scare was enough for you two" Tig asked "I don't want one right now" I said a little more aggressive then I wanted to.

"I just want that" I pointed to the picture perfect family "I hate to break the news to you sweetheart but Happy can't pull off high jeans" Tig laughed at the husband who just gave him a pissed off look and they soon left the restaurant.

Tig and me finished our food and got back on the bike and drove back to the club house in no time, I rushed inside to see that it was empty again and I used it as an advantage to throw myself on the couch quickly as I pulled out the white envelope from my backpack and tore it open.

The folded pieces of paper read: Dear Talia Ortiz, due to the number of social issues that have been unfolding at you, the Charming community, and the unhealthy environment your brother has caused, we would be happy if you would accept to have your presence back again at NYU. Thank you for the consideration.

I was overjoyed that they had accepted me back that the paper slipped out of my hands as I jumped in the air with tears in my eyes, I was so star struck that I didn't hear the group of bikers come through the door "woah woah Talia, what you so happy about?" Juice asked me as he placed his hands on my shoulders to calm me down.

"I'm going back to New York!" I yelled and the room fell silent just like it had done earlier today "New York?" I turned to the sound of Happy's disappointed voice "well yeah they took me back early, isn't that great!" I smiled but got none in return from anyone.

"Why is no one happy?" I asked the group of men "you're just leaving like that?" Juice said "Juice it's a once in a life time opportunity, only so many people get accepted and I got a second chance! Please just be proud" finally a small smile appeared on his face "I am Talia, I am".
