the duo manage an entire week before calum is heaving on ashton's bedroom floor, unable to look up let alone sit properly and calm down, his head is spinning along with the world around him and his stomach aches in a way that it never has before.

ashton sits down next to him and helps shim slowly gulp down a few bottles of water and a re-hydration solution. by the end, around four hours later, calum manages to calm himself down.

he falls slack against the floor and stares up at ashton with teary eyes, his bottom lip wobbling. ashton coos at him softly and scoops him up into his arms, holding him close and lulling him into sleep with soothing words and quiet singing.
