Past and Contract

Malik's POV

[2 February]

I woke up early so that I could go to university early to watch my Mayesha teach classes.

I know I sound like a creepy stalker but I can't help it......she makes me act like this.

I showered, got dressed, ate my breakfast made by the new maid who was constantly flirting with me throughout breakfast and left my apartment after the maid left.

Only one person can make me happy and that's Mayesha.

I reached university before she arrived. I went to our room and waited for her to come and take her books. The door opened shortly after I took out my papers. Mayesha walked in and headed straight to her desk without greeting me.

That's odd...she never forgets to greet me. Maybe she recognized me?

I was both happy and sad. Happy because she remembers me and sad because she hates me now. I decided to greet her first today "Good morning, Mrs.Shayera!" "Morning" she said with a monotone/cold voice. I was right about her remembering me. She walked out as soon as she said those words. I sighed, I was so close to having her but the past ruined her, me and us. I still regret what I did to her.

FLASHBACK STARTED
I was talking with Jinhoo, my girlfriend when suddenly the boys walked towards me, shooing Jinhoo away. I raised my eyebrow asking them what's wrong. Slayn then asked me, "Do you know Mayesha of class 8?" I nodded.

Who doesn't? She was a nice, sweet, innocent and kind hearted girl. Everyone in her class loved her.

"She has a crush on you" I looked at Slayn after he said that and laughed very loudly. When I realised that no was laughing at Slayn's words my laughter died and I looked at all of them with a serious look "You guys are not kidding?!" "No we are not Malik" "How can she like a playboy like me?" "Ask her that" Mallyn replied with a duh look on his face.

From that day onwards I distanced myself from Jinhoo to see if Mayesha really liked me or not. In fact, she did and I liked her too, fortunately. We made many eye contacts and she would always blush when I stared at her so I always stared her whenever I got the chance. I broke up with Jinhoo so that I could stare at Mayesha freely and even ask her to be my girlfriend when the time was right.

Everyone knew I broke up with Jinhoo because of Mayesha except my lovers. They kept on proposing me but I rejected all of them. A girl even started hurting herself when I rejected her in front her mother. I didn't care about anything except Mayesha, friends and family. Until Ratter told me that Mayesha's crush was Hentle and not him and he told Hentle that Mayesha's crush was me and not him so we both got a girlfriend at the same time.

Still I couldn't help but stare at her. That annoyed her a lot. I'm sure she must had figured out about the lie Ratter told us at that time. The truth was she never liked Hentle, she liked only me and I didn't trust her and badmouthed about her a lot which eventually reached her ears.

She was angry and moreover heartbroken till graduation day. After graduation I heard Ratter talking to his ex-girlfriend Moana about me and Mayesha. I became curious and so I hid myself behind the pillar and started evasdropping  their conversation.

"- Ratter! I loved Malik and it's true that I didn't like Mayesha but she was his heart, soul and love. She makes him happy which I can't. His happiness is my happiness. You had no right to do this to them!" Moana said. My eyes widen at the truth and I nearly lost my balance.
