I Promised

The bell rung to signal the end of 6th period,the halls filled up with people shoulder to shoulder moving from class to class. Kiana tried texting Anthony to meet up for lunch, but he wasn't responding to her text.

When she walked into the lunch room she seen her friends sitting at their regular table. Shi's face looked swollen for some reason, so Kiana had to see if she was ok.

"Hey guys what's up, what happen to you Shi you ok?" Kiana asked.

"What happened!" Shi looked at her annoyed and disturbed. "Why does it matter it's not like you'd believe me sis!"

Trevor spoke up, "why don't you ask your boyfriend what happened."

Kiana was confused and taken back by their words. "What do you mean, did he do that to you Shi?"

"Yea he did, after I was trying to get evidence for you! I found him with another chick in the bathroom, he didn't take it well. I don't know why I'm wasting my breath you won't believe anything we say."

Those words cut deep, Kiana couldn't believe she took the word of some guy instead of her best friend her sister. "Of Course I believe you, I'm so sorry I didn't before I was blinded by what I thought was love."

She sat down across from Shi, and took her hands in hers holding them tight. "It's over you hear me, it's over between me and him. Are we cool?"

Shi smiled, "like the other side of the pillow."

Kiana smiled looking around at her friends, "I missed you guys. I'm going to call Anthony after school and break it off with that asshole."

Danny and Kiana stared at each other for a brief moment, before Trevor brought them back to reality. "You better hope you find him before I do."

"Alright Floyd Mayweather when did you get nice with the hands," Danny asked jokingly.

"I didn't say I'd win, but I'll get a couple hits off. Nobody puts their hands on Shi and gets away with it."

Shi put her hand on Trevor's shoulder. "Thank you, but don't act like I'm some helpless chick or I'll fuck you up."

They continued to converse amongst each other, smiling and laughing back to how it use to be. As if nothing happened between them, bond as strong as ever.

The next coming periods flew by, as the last bell rung sending everyone home for the day. Kiana and Shi took the bus home, they seen Danny and Trevor beginning to walk home together.

Once Kiana made it home she immediately called Anthony.

"Hey babe i was just about to call you I'm parked out front," Anthony uttered as if nothing was wrong.

"Don't hey babe me, you know what the fuck you did! It's over you hear me Anthony! Don't call me, don't text me, don't even look my way I never want to see you again bye!" Kiana hung up on him.

She laid on her bed taking in a deep sigh of relief, when she heard a knock on her front door. She opened the door to see Anthony standing there.

"Hold on Kiana let me explain."

she tried to close the door in his face, but he kept stopping her efforts pushing the door open whenever she tried to close it.

"What part of it's over do you not understand Anthony! Get off my front porch or I'll call the police!"

He didn't take anything she said seriously pushing his way inside the house. "Just let me explain what happened please."
