user: they never let the young people get the awards they deserve and that sucks. wish you won!Timothée had been contemplating for a while whether he should direct message Daisy telling her that he had a fun time or just play it cool. However, as he contemplated what to do his father entered their living room with a bowl of popcorn in his hands.
Timothée and his mother had just flown in to New York from Los Angeles a few hours ago and his father had begged them to watch a movie. He'd missed his son's company and his wife had been gone for a few days too therefore he wanted to spend some time with them.
Once his father sat on the couch Timothée couldn't help but talk to him. 'Dad, when you met mom how did you know you really liked her?' Marc chuckled placing the bowl of popcorn on the table and putting his hand around Timothée's shoulder and pulling him close.
'mon fils, are you referring to someone in particular?' It used to be simple for Timothée to tell his father about a girl he had a crush on when he was in high school, or someone he found attractive and wanted to ask out. But for some reason he felt he couldn't tell his father who she was. He cared too much about what his father might think of her and after their amazing night he couldn't get her out of his head, and he didn't want his father to disapprove.
Daisy was a bit younger than Timothée, he's twenty, she's seventeen and they work in the same industry. He didn't want his father's opinion to mess with his image of her. Therefore he dismisses his father's question. 'No, I just want some advice dad.' Timothée admits.
Marc nods in return. 'Ok well, I knew I really liked your mother when I couldn't stop thinking about her after every conversation we had, and when I always looked forward to seeing her, to talking to her. These signs made me realize I really wanted to be with her.' It was that simple, but it wasn't. Timothée had only spent one night with her. One perfect night. It wasn't enough to justify the way he was feeling about her.
Their conversation ended once Timothée's mother entered the room. She sat and they began watching a movie in silence, but all Timothée could think about was her.

@tchalamet:
You're right. Last night was pretty fun, we should do it again sometime.Daisy reread the message multiple times with a grin on her lips. Her best friend Skylar couldn't help but ask. 'Who's making you smile like that, I haven't seen you smile like that in a while.' Daisy averted her attention from the phone to Skylar who was sat comfortably on her couch.
