Timothée enters the house soaking wet. Droplets of water splatter onto the floor and he wipes them away with his shoes. He enters the house to find Daisy seated in her living room with numerous text books sprawled out on the couch she was seated on and on the table placed in front of her. She was deep in thought and did not notice Timothée enter her house. 'It's raining out.' He says as an attempt to catch her attention.
She doesn't look up at him, she just mumbles in agreement and stays focused on her textbook. 'You haven't gone out in a few days, want to grab some dinner with me?' He asks moving away the books and taking their place on the couch beside her.
'I'm not hungry.' She says avoiding any eye contact with him. 'But you can go if you want to.' Timothée furrows his eyebrows at her in utter confusion.
'Why would I grab dinner on my own when I have you?' He chuckles and daisy shrugs in response to his question.
'You don't have to go alone. You can take Lily, I'm sure she's a blast.' There is now a still silence in the air and Daisy keeps her eyes trained on the books, avoiding his eyes at all costs whereas Timothée tries reading her expression.
'Oh.. you saw the pictures?' He says sounding defeated. It seemed to Daisy that her seeing those photos was not part of his plan.
'Yeah. Not going to lie, it's kind of sad that you couldn't tell me and I had to find out from Instagram.' Finally her eyes find his and he can tell he hurt her, that his actions were not going unnoticed.
Timothée knew that if he hid it from her she would find out at some point but for some reason he felt that telling her would only hurt her more, but it turns out he was wrong and finding out from a few paparazzi photos was not a great way of delivering such significant news.
'I can explain.' he starts but Daisy isn't having it. She is ready to explode at any moment now and one more word from him was going to make her do just that.
'No. Don't. I can't endure any more apologies that come out of your mouth. We were friends so let's just stick to being that.' The words were a punch in the gut, but Daisy was right and Timothée knew that. He spent most of his time apologizing to her, and he needed to finally stop fucking things up between them.
'But Daisy just hear me out.'
'Look.. what I don't get is why you would kiss me? Like why fucking spark up feelings. If you hadn't kissed me I would have been happy for you and Lily, but now I feel so much fucking anger and I hate it Timmy, I hate the way I feel.'
'I'm sorry.'
'God! stop apologizing. It's done whatever, just leave please.'
'No Daisy, I'm not leaving like this.'
'Please.. I'm not mad at you I just need some space I'll text you tomorrow I promise.'
Timothée takes one last look at her, the pain in her eyes pains him and he can't look at her much longer knowing that it was his own fault she felt this way. He nods silently and heads for the door, feeling his heart wrench at the sound of her letting out a muffled cry.
