As usual, Jake sat alone at his lunch table. Lexi didn't sit by him since she thought he was busy with other friends. Jake stared at his blank paper laying in front of him. He then finally put his pen on the paper and wrote:
Dear Lexi,
Who are you in love with? I know you can't answer, but I'm curious. I hope you know that the stranger writing to you really does love you and will do anything to make you happy. Seeing you sad is painful.
-Love, JJake sighed and neatly folded the paper and slid it in a pastel yellow envelope and sealed it with a flower sticker. He put it in his folder and ate his lunch.
Lexi and Jake hopped on the bus and Jake, being first to come in, sneakily dropped the envelope on Lexi's seat. Lexi went to her seat and tilted her head.
At least I know this person is at my school...
She read the letter and called Jake up to sit by her.
"What do you need?" Jake smiled. Lexi handed him the letter. "I wonder who-"
"I really hope its the person I want it to be."
"And who's that?"
"...n-nevermind. Flower boy, are these from...you?"
"--Yes, yes they are. Im glad you asked, otherwise I'd probably never say." Jake's face turned red along with Lexi's. "...but I'm probably not the somebody you ho-" Jake was interrupted by Lexi hugging him.
"You are, flower boy."
