Jake slid his headphones on and shuffled his playlist. An upbeat Snail's house song rang through his headphones as he unpacked big boxes and organized everything neatly. He quietly hummed the melody.
He soon noticed his new neighbor sitting right by her window where her desk was. Jake called it a break and took his headphones off, letting them drop next to his rose gold phone and skipped toward his window. He pushed the window open and waved his hands, getting the girl's attention.
"Hello new neighbor! I'm Jake!" He sounded childishly excited to meet her, which made a small smile appear on her face.
"Hello, Jake. I'm Lexi." She didn't look up from her desk, so Jake made the assumption she was doing work or just on her phone.
"Studying?" Jake rested his arms on the window pane and put his head on top.
"I'm not a nerd," Lexi giggled a little "I'm drawing." Jake's eyes lit up. Someone else is artsy like him?
"Whatcha drawing?" He smiled.
"Just an oc."
"That's cool! I also like drawing. I mostly base my style off manga."
"Cool!" Lexi finally picked up her head to see Jake, who's smile was wide. He had a washed out turquoise highlight in his hair that was covered by a flower crown with pastel blue roses to match his sweater and a necklace with a crown on it. He had quite pale skin and a nose piercing, but the most amazing part which caught her eye:
Heterochromic eyes.
One was a blue-ish grey and the other a hazel green.
Jake smiled again.
"Taking a break?"
"Yea, I guess."
"Cool, that means I get to talk with you more."
Lexi giggled at his sentence.
He seems so nice and funny...
