I woke up to the sound of a school bell. I looked around the room I was in. I was apparently in some type of hospital room. Standing over a desk was a woman with long bright red wavy hair in a lab coat and jeans. Her back was facing me, so I couldn't see much.
"Hey," I called to her while I sat up.
She turned around, obviously surprised.
"Oh! I see you're awake," she said. "I'm Jean."
"I know."
"What? How is that-?"
"Your name tag," I said, pointing, "It says 'Jean.'"
"Oh! I thought for a second that you were telekinetic."
"What? No, I'm-" I was interrupted by someone entering the room.
"Jean!" he said. "I've been looking for you-who is this?"
"I'm Bianca Blake. And you are?" I asked.
"So, the professor needs you to fill in for his physics class. Can you do it?" the man asked Jean as if I hadn't spoken.
"Well, to answer your first question, this here is Bianca Blake. As for your second question...Logan, you know I would love to, but I-"
"Wait a second. Your name is Logan?" I asked. For some reason that name sounded familiar.
"Yes....? Why?" Logan asked cautiously.
"I remember now! You and the professor were talking about me when I first arrived here!"
"Logan, go get the professor, Scott, Peter, Rogue, Bobby, and Storm, and then bring them back here." Jean instructed. "And as for you..." Jean turned to me. "Well, we should probably get you into something a bit more suitable for company."
I looked at my hospital gown, and agreed with Jean.
"Here take these." She handed me a complete outfit and pointed me in the direction of the bathroom.
After I was done changing, (I was wearing a purple t-shirt that read "I'm going to be a unicorn!", faded jeans, and blue converse.) I walked out of the bathroom into the hospital room to find seven pairs of eyes staring back at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Do you know where you are, Bianca?" said a man in a wheelchair.
"The Xavier School For Gifted Youngsters," I recited, confused. I had never heard of it, and I wasn't sure how I knew that.
"How did you get here?" asked a boy around my age.
As I opened my mouth to answer, the wheelchair guy said, "Now Peter, don't pester Bianca."
"Sorry, Professor," Peter said sheepishly. You know-Peter was pretty cute.
"Oh, its all right. But you do bring up a fair point. How did you get here?"
"Um..."I thought about it. "I actually don't know."
"I thought as much. And do you have...special abilities?"
"Special abilities?" I thought back to what Jean had said, 'Oh! I thought for a second that you were telekinetic.' Was that what the professor meant? "Um...I don't think so."
"Alright. That is all. Peter, would you mind showing Bianca to her room?"
"Sure," Peter beckoned me over.
"As for everyone else-you're all dismissed." As if on cue, the school bell rang again.
"Let's go," Peter said, and I followed him to my room.
