The next day, I was woken up by a voice in my room.

Bianca, wake up! It's almost time for school!

I figured it was just some kind of intercom system in my room. After all, it sounded like Professor Xavier.

There are clothes in the dresser. Hurry up before you are late.

I got some clothes and took a quick shower. (My hair dries quickly.)

After I got out of the shower, I found some socks to wear, and the blue converse sneakers were waiting for me on my bed, along with a note attached to them.

Bianca-

Here is your schedule. I highlighted the classes we have together, and got you a new map with your class route on it.

                         -Peter
PS-  The professor wants to see you before class starts. And here is a watch. I set the timer to go off after each class. (Which is 45 minutes.)

He also left a backpack with all school necessities. I clasped the watch around my wrist, and put on the backpack. I folded the note and put it in my pocket. I hung up my old map next to the door, and kept the new one out as a reference.

As I looked more closely at the map, I noticed that my class route wasn't the only thing that Peter put on the new map. He also put the route to Professor's office.

I swear, that kid thinks of everything!

Anyway, when I arrived at the professor's office, I heard someone talking. Now I'm not usually one for eavesdropping,  but I couldn't help it.

"So this new girl, Bianca..." Logan's voice.  "Are you sure she's a mutant? I mean-she doesn't seem to have any powers..."

"Logan, you know as well as I do that Bianca is a mutant. " The professor. "Logan, she has so many abilities that I can't describe-and that's not normal."

"Professor-do you think that she is stronger than....stronger than-?"

"Stronger than me?  Why, funny you should ask that.  Why don't you ask her yourself?  Bianca, you can come in, now!"

I  slowly walked in, wondering if this was some kind of test.

"Um...hi?" I said.

"Well?" Professor prompted.

"Well what? Oh! Um....no, I don't think I'm stronger than you. Oh-and by the way....What did you mean by 'special abilities'? Am I....a mutant? "

"Yes, indeed you are, " the professor sighed. "Logan, could you....?" the professor inclined his head towards the door.

Logan-seeming to get the message-left the room. And he appeared to be none too happy about it.

Take a seat.

There was that voice again!  I looked over at the professor, but he showed no sign of ever speaking. He was just staring at me intently. I sat down on a chair in front of his desk.

Now. Are you confused?

More than anything,  I thought. Then just as I was about to voice my thoughts,  I heard-

I understand.  Being a mutant is hard,  but it can also be rewarding. And, before you ask, yes, I am speaking to you through my mind.

Okay, I thought.  So that means we don't have to talk?

Yes, but that isn't the reason why I invited you here.

Then what is?

You have extraordinary powers, Bianca. So don't let them go to waste.

What kind of powers?

Hmmm...you can tell someone's vitals and health from halfway around the world.  You have the ability to levitate objects. You can go through anything. And you can control animals. And this is only the beginning.

Do you really think that I'm stronger than you?

The professor smiled. Yes, I do. I also think that you have the capability to do wondrous things in life, but its your choice whether you use your powers for better or worse.

Professor- am I normal?

Bianca, you are as human as the rest of us, but I believe that you were experimented on.

By who?

Magneto.

Who's that?

An old enemy of mine.

Do you know how I got here?

Suddenly, my watch beeped.

"Well," said the professor."Off to class. Bye!"

"Bye," I said,  and went on my way to class.
