Chapter 8: part 2

A/n: so sorry about the last chapter's length. I didn't plan on it being that short, but...yeah...

"Who--why are you here?" I asked, scared that Magneto would try to kill me with his power. Besides, he was striding towards us with purpose. To strike us in the chest with metal beams, maybe?

Wow, I have got to stop watching all those action movies! I thought to myself.

"Pietro, you didn't say anything about the plan? My, my, you make me so proud!" Magneto said.

"I told you; it's Peter now, not Pietro." Peter spit out the name in disgust, as if it was month-old moldy meat in his mouth. "And I said that I'm not working for you anymore!"

"Oh, come now, son. You don't work for me, you work with me!"

As I was listening to all of this, everything seemed to fall into place.

I was Bella-- that's why that voice sounded so familiar! And Peter was really Pietro, which meant....

"You're his son," I realized. "And after all this time...." I turned to look at Peter. "How could I not see this?" I whispered.

"Bell--Bianca, I--I'm sorry, okay? I was going to tell you but I--"

"What? You didn't know how to tell me? That is the most cliche excuse in the book. Let me ask you this--does the Professor know?"

"Bella, come with me. I can help you with...whatever this is," Magneto gestured to Peter and me.

"Uh--no. Oh, and newsflash--it's Bianca. Peter's not the only one with a name-change, you know!" Looking back on it, I'm not quite sure how exactly I felt, but I do know that I was mad, confused, and scared. I was mad that Magneto had the guts to show up after what he did to my friends. I was confused about...well, all of it--everything. I was scared because I wasn't sure what exactly was going on and what was going to happen next.

"Um...Bianca...are you okay?" Peter asked, concerned.

"Wh-what?"

"GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!!!!!!!" Someone shouted at the doorway.

Three heads turned to see...Professor Xavier?!

"What in Hades is goin' on?!" I said, completely confused now.

Then someone else ran in.

"Logan?! Okay, can someone please explain to me what in the world of gluten-free dairy is going on!" I exclaimed.
