Chapter 22

Niall's POV

I woke up in a place that wasn't my flat or the Forever 21. I try to sit up but someone stops me from doing that. "You are such an idiot." Amanda says, crying.

"What?"

"Next time a gun is pointed at me, don't say anything." She laughs.

"A thanks would be better but you know, whatever." I smile.

"Sorry. Thank you for saving me." I tell him.

"You're welcome Princess. How is Liam doing?" I ask.

"He won't talk to us. He came to talk to you once while you were sleeping but now he is back at his flat. I am going to talk to him once you either get the okay to leave or you have to stay another night."She says.

"You don't have to be strong all the time Amanda, I know she was your best friend." I tell her.

"I have to be, for him. She was the love of his life." I start to tear up.

"This has been a tough year for you, you know? You are aloud to break down a few times." I open my arms up, for her to give me a hug.

"I know, but still. They had a more serious connection then me and her did." She looks down. I go to say something but the doctors come in.

"Okay Mr.Horan, we have to keep for for another few hours for testing but you can go later tonight." He says, Niall nods then the doctor leaves.

"Why don't you go see Liam while I am being tested then you can come get me after?" Niall wonders.

"I guess I could do that." I ponder.

"Go, he needs to see you." I tell her.

"Okay, I'm going." She laughs, heading towards the door.

Amanda's POV

"Liam, please let me in." I knock on his door for the 3 third time. He fianlly opens it, and lets me in.

"Hi." He says.

"Hey." I sit next to him, giving him a hug.

"Her parents.. asked if I could make a speech for her at her funeral but I can't do it Amanda. I can't even think about her with crying." He says, tearing up.

"Okay, do you want me to do it with you?" I suggest. He nods, trying to stop crying.

"I can't believe that happened. She died right in fornt of my and there was onthing I could do about it. Do you know that feeling?" He asks.

"My parents died." I tell him.

"Yeah," he gets quiet for a moment, "I was going to ask her to marry me."

"Oh Liam." Now I start crying with him.

"Why are you crying?" He ask.

"Lia, she was my best friend from the time you started dating her and still will be even when she stopped breathing." I explain to him.

"I know Manda, I know. She is still with us everywhere we go." He rests his head on my shoulder.

"You need to take yor own advice." I laugh at him, still crying.

"Yes I do." He sighs.

Niall's POV

"How was Liam?" I ask Amanda, when she walks into my room.

"He is strong," she pauses, "I am making a speech with him at her funeral."

My face drops and he gets up to hug me. She hugs back, letting a few silent tears escape. "I can go home." I tell her.

'Well, then lets go home. I am tired and want to sleep. These past few days have been crazy." She tells me. I nod in agreement, grabbing my stuff then following her out.
