Sunny days. Cornfields. That was all I saw. But I was crying.
Why?
I wondered. Nothing hurt anymore, it felt nice to feel safe for once. I sat up against a tree, the sun was setting but it was going down. I loved the daytime because nothing bad usually happened. But somehow I couldn't place my finger on what had happened at night.Almost as if I'd just forgotten. It felt like a relief to forget. Like I wasn't carrying anything on my weak shoulders. I wanted to stay in this cornfield forever. It was nice here, no worries.
I wasn't a burden anymore.
