Chapter 25: Sorry

*Blaire’s POV*

I was making my way to my house and I saw a familiar figure sitting on our old front porch with bouquet of flowers on the left hand and a medium-sized teddy bear on his right hand which was really cute. Before I even made it to our old porch, there was a girl who walked up to him and I decided to hide in the bush which was just beside our former house. I decided to listen.

“What are you doing here?” I heard Niall asked.

“I thought you want to see me in our meeting place?” Kate flirted. “Are those for me?” I guess she was describing the flowers and the bear.

“First, we did not meet here. This is my meeting place with Blaire. I met you in school. Second, these are not for you. These are for my best friend.” He replied in an annoyed tone.

“Why are you doing this to Blaire, Niall? Why not to me?” I can hear disappointment in her tone.

“It’s none of your business. You can leave now, Kate!”

“UGH! She will pay for this, Niall Horan! Mark my word!!” She threatened then I saw her left and then I stepped out of the bush to see Niall staring at me. Honestly, I was scared at her threat because she already tried killing me, I won’t be surprised if she would really kill me.

“How long have you been there?” He asked and I did not know what to answer. Will he get mad if I admitted that I eavesdropped? “Did you hear everything?” He asked again and I nodded. “Come here, Blaire.” He opened his arms for me while holding the flowers and the bear. I hugged him and I couldn’t help but cry. I missed him so much.

“I missed you, Nialler.” I whispered.

“I missed you too, Boo!” He laughed. “Shh, don’t cry now. If it’s because you heard Kate’s threat, I won’t let anything happen to you, I promise. I won’t let her hurt you. I’m sure too that Zayn, Liam, Louis and Harry would do the same thing in protecting you and the other girls. The four of you are like our princesses. We don’t want to see any of you get hurt.” He smiled at me then he continued. “And I’m also sorry for being an asshole this morning. I shouldn’t have hurt you; I just don’t know what got into me. Will you forgive me?” He let go of the hug and then I looked at him. You can see that he was really sincere. “So??” He asked as he showed me the cute teddy bear holding a heart with the words best friends forever.

“Of course, I forgive you. You know I can’t stand being mad at you. Besides, I don’t want to lose my best-est friend for life!” I smiled at him and he handed me the flowers and the bear. “It’s so cute, Nialler.”

“Just like you?”

“Telling a lie is a sin, Horan.” I laughed at him.

“I’m not lying, B. You really are pretty and cute.”

“Shut up.” I hit him as I blushed.

“So, wanna go to my house for a while?”

“Yeah, sure. I’d like to spend some time with my best friend. You know, I really missed you.” I hugged him again.

“I missed you too.” He kissed my forehead and I felt a weird but cute feeling in my head. It’s like his kiss was so right.

Niall and I made our way to his house and we decided to watch our favorite movie, Grease. We told stories to each other too. I even told him about what Kate did to me. He inspected my cut on my arm and then he made snacks for us when we both got hungry. After spending 3 hours with him, Zayn texted me that he already needed to pick me up because dinner would be ready soon. Niall and I waited until Zayn came and then we left. It was good to have my old best friend back, I just wish that my old feelings for him would not come back too or else we would really have a big problem.

“So, how are you, babe? What happened?” Zayn was driving and I was seated at the passenger seat.

“He said sorry for how he acted this morning and then we did our usual best friend thing when we’re bored. We watched movies and told stories to each other and stuff like that.” I smiled at him. I decided to leave out the part about Kate’s threat because I know Zayn would flip then he would not let me leave his sight anymore.

“Did he give those to you?” He asked referring to the flowers and the teddy bear at the back of the car.

“Yeah, why?”

He ignored my question. “Blaire, do you still have feelings for Niall?” He asked quietly.

“Why did you ask that? You know, I love you Zayn. Niall is just my best friend, okay?” He nodded and then we made our way to his house quietly. It was kind of awkward. When we reached the house, everyone was just about to eat dinner. After we ate the delicious meal that Zayn’s mum created, Zayn and I made our way to his room. They did not really have a guest room and his mum let us share a room. Every night, I get to cuddle with my very beautiful boyfriend and it was really sweet. I also get to wake up with him next to me.

After I showered, I changed into my PJ’s. It’s getting really cold now since it’s the last week of November already. When I walked out of the bathroom, I made my way to Zayn’s room and then I saw him lying down on his bed, watching TV, without a shirt and his legs were tucked in the duvets. I really wonder why Zayn does not get cold when we sleep.

“Sleeping time, Zaynster.” I told him as I turned off the TV and I lied down beside him.

He pulled me closer to him and whispered to me, “Can’t it be cuddle time first before sleeping time?” He fake-pouted then I giggled then he started kissing my neck and then he went up to my cheek and soon, he found my lips. He kissed me softly and it soon turned out into a full-on make-out session. After who knows how many minutes, I pulled out because I needed air and he pouted. I laughed at him, he wanted more but I was too tired already.

“I’m sorry babe but I’m tired already. Can we sleep now?” I asked him.

“Sure, Goodnight! I love you so much! See you in the morning, beautiful!” He pecked my lips and then he relaxed in his side of the bed.

“Goodnight, Zayn! I love you too!” I faced away from him and I tried sleeping but then there was an arm that wrapped around me and I heard him whisper.

“I’d let you sleep but I want you to face me and cuddle with me.”

I laughed at his silliness but I did what he wanted. I lied down closer to him, he wrapped his arm around me and I wrapped an arm around his stomach and our legs were on top of each other. After I don’t know how long, we finally fell asleep.
