(Juliet's POV)
"You are one brave motherf*cker." Knox said from behind Vince.
"I was gonna go with stupid." Phoenix said from the ground.
"I say both." My father said.
"And I say shut the f*ck up and disarm the g**damn thing." Vince snapped.
I was trying my best to control my breathing but I was failing.
Vince gripped me chin with his thumb and forefinger and tilted my head up.
"It's going to be okay, Tesoro."
"You don't know that." I whispered as he pressed his forehead against mine.
"Yes, I do. Remember, I'm always right."
I rolled my eyes.
"How is it going down there, Phoenix?" Vince asked.
"Honestly?"
"Always."
"Not good, V."
"What do you mean? What's wrong?"
"It's like he put it in when the concrete was poured in. I can't find my way to the wires or anything."
"What are you saying exactly?" Knox asked.
"I'm saying that I can't disarm it. It's going to blow one way or another."
Tears started rolling down my cheeks. Vince brushed them away and kissed my forehead.
"How long will it take for it to blow after we step off?"
"This type.....maybe five seconds."
Vince nodded and held me tightly to his chest.
"I want everyone to go outside and get as far away from this place as possible." Vince ordered.
"No can do, Boss." Gio said. "We're with you both till the end."
"Damn it, Giovanni!" Vince yelled. "I want you out of here now!"
"Boss," Antonio started but Vince held up his hand.
"F*cking listen to me!" He yelled. "Gio, you still need to find your woman. If this doesn't go our way then you are going to be Boss. Someone also needs to take care of Stefano until he's back to normal. And please make sure that that f*cker Esposito gets what he deserves."
"But Boss,"
"No buts. You've all be with me from the start and I love you like brothers. You are brothers. All of you. So I need you to please listen to me."
"You sure about this, Boss?" Giuseppe asked stepping forward.
"Yes."
"Okay then." He nodded.
The next thing that happened surprised me.
Every single man there bowed down on one knee, including my father and brother.
It was big sign of respect in our world and it brought tears to my eyes.
"It has been our honor working for you and with you. You took some of us in when our parents kicked us out or no one else would. I will make you proud of me." Gio said before looking at me. "You brought love, laughter, and life back into our lives and for that we are eternally grateful."
