Vince was upstairs pushing me behind him in seconds.

"F*ck." He swore.

I tried to get around him but he stopped me.

"You don't need to see anymore than you already have, Tesoro." He said turning around to face me.

I buried my face in his chest and continued to cry.

He pulled out his phone and called someone. He spoke in Italian so I couldn't understand anything.

Minutes later Giovanni, Stefano, Phoenix, and a few others were in our room.

"Dead." Phoenix said standing next to the bed.

I looked up at Vince. "I'm tired of burying our friends."

He kissed my forehead. "So am I, Bambina. So am I."

"What do we do now?" Stefano asked.

"You all stay here and deal with this. I'm taking Juliet to the city to stay until all this bullshit is finished."

"We're going to the apartment?"

He nodded.

Besides this house, we have an apartment in the city, a smaller house outside the city, two houses in Italy, the house in Colorado, house and an apartment in California, and a house and apartment in Florida.

"Why don't you go find Zeus so you can take him with us."

"Okay."

"Take Stefano."

I walked out of our room and went looking for Zeus with Stefano right behind me.

We searched and searched but didn't find him....

Until we looked in the garden.

"Shit." Stefano muttered as I began to cry again. He pulled out his phone and called Vince.

"Boss, we got another problem. The dog is dead in the garden. Throat was slit."

I went to walk towards him but Stefano grabbed my arm and held me in place. He hung up and slipped his phone into his pocket.

"Boss wants me to take you to the apartment now. He will join us later."

"Who kills a puppy?" I asked as we walked to the garage.

"I don't know, Bella."

I was silent the whole ride to the apartment. I laid my head against the window and silently cried.

"Why don't you go lay down for a little bit." Stefano said as we walked in.

"I think I will."

I walked back to our bedroom and laid down in the bed.

I don't know how much time passed before I heard the door open.

"You asleep, Bambina?" Vince asked quietly.

"No." I said sitting up.

"Come shower with me."

"I don't feel like it."

"Then come take a bath with me."

"Okay."

He ran warm bath water and we both stripped down before getting in. I didn't waste anytime climbing into his lap and laying my head on his chest.

"Gianni wasn't working alone." I said.

"No, he wasn't."

"Do you know who it is?"
