The room fell silent. Evan glanced at Alana and said, "What...?"

Alana shook her head, and then froze, eyes going wide.

Heather looked at her. "What?"

Alana paused, and then breathed out, "Jared and Veronica were doing a perimeter check..."

A moment after she said that, the foyer door burst open, and Michael and Jeremy stood there. "What happened?!" Jeremy demanded.

They stood and ran outside. Just as they exited, another gunshot rang out, and Veronica's lifeless body fell to the grass.

Everyone stared at Jared and Veronica, both of them bleeding from their foreheads. Evan whimpered. Heather covered her mouth. Nearly everyone was on the brink of tears.

"J-Jared...?" Alana tried quietly, expecting no response.

"Ronnie..." Heather whimpered. "No..."

There was a moment in which everyone comforted each other, hugging and crying into each other's shirts.

Another gunshot, and a scream. They all turned to John Laurens, who was now on the ground, clutching his arm and grunting at the pain.

Alex went to assist him, "John!"

Jeremy looked up at the forest. A sense of Dèjá Vu washed over him. He mumbled, "Who the fuck...?"

Evan saw the glare of a scope in the forest, aimed at Connor. He panicked and tackled Connor at just the right time, the bullet grazing his cheek. Evan landed on top of Connor, pressing a hand to his own cheek and looking at it, his hand now gleaming red.

Connor looked at him worriedly. Before he had time to speak, though, five men stepped out of the forest with gun pointed at the group.

"Nobody move!" One man yelled. "You try to run and we'll shoot!"

"Hands in the air!" Another yelled.

They all obeyed, slowly raising their hands.

Stay silent. Follow orders. Do that, and you won't die. No one has to die. Evan whimpered at the thoughts, eyes closed.

Brooke had her eyes closed as well, whispering, "I don't wanna die. I don't wanna die..."

The first man looked at one of his colleges and nodded to the lodge. "Go check for more people."

Michael froze. Cameron.

The man walked inside. Everyone was ordered to stay silent and cooperate. Rich took a chance and pulled out his pistol, but someone shot near his feet as soon as his hand lowered, and he jumped away, yelping.

"Listen very closely," The first man said again. "You are going to go inside and pack your things. You are going to leave, and you are not to come back. Hand over all food and medical supplies."

"I found these two in their med wing!" The man who went outside came out and threw Phillip and Cameron to the ground. Cameron whimpered, having landed on her arm, and Phillip was still confused, having just been woken up. He looked over at Cameron. "Cammy?"

Cameron looked at him. The first man walked over to them a squated. "Well well well, what do we have here?"

Cameron growled at him. Phillip shifter closer to Cameron in fear.

"Any more kids?" The first man asked. One of his men went into the group and pull Theo out, throwing her next to them. "Good..."

"Theo, no!" Burr yelled and almost ran over, but a gun was shoved under his chin, and he stopped.

Theo whimpered. Her and Phillip both clung to Cameron, despite Theo not knowing who they were.

The man smirked at them. "You three are going to stay out here, while your friends go and get their shit." He looked up at the group. "Go."

Alex, Eliza, Michael, and Burr all took longer to usher inside than the others, their parent instincts makeing them want to run and protect their children.

The three kids stood up. The man stood near them, talking to the remaining man.

Theo looked at them. "Who are you? What's going on?"

Cameron looked at her apologetically. "I'm Cameron. This is Phillip. And they," She nodded to the men. "Are robbing us."

"Well, they're going about it the wrong way." Phillip said and pulled a pistol out of his pocket. "I've never killed anyone before..."

"You don't have to," Cameron said. "I can do it."

"Kill them?!" Theo whispered. "We can't kill them!"

"We can, and we will. Just do what they say until I give a signal. Do you know how to use one of these?"

Cameron handed Theo a gun. Theo nodded.

"Good." Cameron looked around and picked up the gun that Jared had. She looked at him for a moment, whimpering and closing his eyes. Phillip did the same for Veronica.

The one of the men looked up and yelled, "Hey!"

All three kids flinched and hid their guns behind their backs. "Yes?" They all said in unison.

"Get your tiny asses over here."

"Rude." Theo mumbled, stashing her gun in the back of her pants and pulling her shirt over it.

Cameron and Phillip saw, doing the same. They all glanced at each other and walked over.

They were ordered to stand next to each other in a line. The man pointed a gun at their heads, ready for when the others would come out. Theo began crying, and Phillip was shaking. Even Cameron could admit she was scared. But she had a plan.

She was going over it over and over again in her head, when she heard a groan from the trees behind them. She froze and turned.

Let's just say her plan had a new obstacle to work around.
