The thunderstorm had passed by the time I was making toast I had no idea where the man had gone. But as long as he wasn't in my house anymore I was calm. The sound of a chair being pulled out made me turn on my heel... I had spoken too soon. He was still here, unfortunately. Without realizing my actions I was starting to stare at him because of all the questions that ran through my mind, the main one was, Why didn't he kill me? Here I am alone completely vulnerable to him but he hasn't shown any aggression or attempts of violence towards me.

Then again, why is he still wandering around here? The sound of a phone ringing broke me out my thoughts especially his voice. His voice wasn't as rough when he spoke in his British accent instead it was a softer tone although I have no knowledge of whom he could be talking to. I set the eggs, toast, bacon, and hot links on the table and went to the dish rack grabbing a clean fork. My jaw dropped at his actions, eating my breakfast, legs propped up on my clean table. Mentally I was strangling him right where he sat. With a heavy yet scared heart I made more to avoid conflict I didn't need to die over food but the dirty shoes on my table were picking at me.

He now stood over me as I cooked making me nervous. "Merci beaucoup" Was all he said before I heard my door open and close with a slam. Did he just say what I think he said?

Either I was completely unaware of a special event that was happening or everyone was in a frenzy due to the news about another powerful thunderstorm soon to happen at night and I knew none of these people cared about the second option so something or someone important is coming. Everyone was running around like it was Black Friday and I was clueless and standing in the corner avoiding getting smacked somewhere. Alice ran right past me even though I yelled out to her.

I needed to find out what's happening. I managed through the crowd. Once there was an opening to my office ran inside closing it back. Mario had earphones shoved in his ears tuning out the disaster unfolding. I tapped him "Is it like this on every floor?" I stressed

"Yes, yes it is. The boss is coming so everyone is making sure everything is up to par. Give them a few more minutes and they'll be done running around like loco people,"

I was confused "Wait, why would they be acting this way for Mr.King? He didn't show any signs of disappointment or disapproval about the place,"

He chuckled slightly "No, he was the fill-in boss. He's not the actual CEO or owner of this place. The scaring guy just came back from his 'important mission' as the people called it. Be well behaved," He knows something I don't. I'm guessing he didn't want to tell me so I only nodded while leaning against the wall but that was cut short by a lady coming in

"You're wanted in his office," she said

I glanced at Mario first but with a shrug of confusion, I walked to the elevator until I reached the floor. Two men that looked like murders stood in front of his doors "State your name,"

"A-Azami," Dammit, I stuttered. The men seemed to found my nervousness and stuttering a laughing matter. I didn't find that funny, not one bit, in fact, my eyes turned into slits almost immediately shooting daggers at their throats. Since I wasn't one to start fights I mentally told him off. He nodded his head towards the door telling me to go in which I gladly did. "Am I in the correct office?" It was pure darkness in here I couldn't even see my arm let alone anything.

"Yes, you are. Sit we have to discuss some changes," The man's voice was rough and deep certainly intimidating. I reached my hands out in hopes of feeling something around me. Each step was cautious since I could run into something. "Assist her, she seems to have difficulty maneuvering in the dark," Hands immediately slid onto my hips and started guiding me to the chair. Why was it so dark in the place first place? Of course, I can't maneuver in the dark when I was just in a lit up place.
