I awoke to a fireplace burning weakly. With a groan, I scanned the room with no knowledge of how I even came across this... cabin? I don't remember much. Unfortunately all I can recall is me running with the storm... and I fell down. I stared at the weak flames before I lifted myself off the ground letting the heavy blanket and coat fall. I picked up the coat examining it. Who found me? I followed my curiosity and went into the huge kitchen. There, food was laid out on the wooden table it seemed as if it was just made. I put my hand over the pot feeling the heat rising up and evaporating into the air. My feet carried me past the living room and to the stairs. I don't know why my curiosity got the best of me again, some things were meant to be left alone. When I got to the top there were only three bedrooms, one door was cracked open and so I peeked inside seeing that Madman sitting on his bed eyes closed and arms crossed he looked cold. His soft snores indicated he was asleep.

I remembered that all those blankets and coats were piled onto me. Did he do that? I quietly backed away and went back downstairs. I was not about to stay here my life was in danger with that killer. Passing the living room I reached for the door but I realized it was locked and I had no key. "Of course," I grimaced while searching for another exit. Unfortunately, every window and other door was locked shut so I had no way of leaving but what I did find was a box cutter so I swiftly shoved it in my back pocket. I was stuck here but even so, I couldn't help the way he looked cold. Taking two of the blankets I went quietly back upstairs to his room and put the blankets on him. He moved a little bit which caused me to panic so I ran out cracking the door quickly before I went back downstairs. Surely he wouldn't notice, right? The fire was getting weaker and my body started to shake more visibly than before. "Where is the damn firewood?!" I said through chatting teeth. No matter where I searched I turned up empty-handed.

My eyes found a recliner chair and the space behind it seemed like a good hiding space. Perfect for a sneak attack I might add. Coldness spread through my body like a tidal wave so I waddle over to blankets I left at the fireplace and threw them over my body. I sat on the recliner and bundled up into a ball. Before I fell asleep.

Heavy footsteps woke me up in a frenzy. He was awake and making his way downstairs. I threw the covers off and turned my head back and forth. My brain was scrambling my thoughts and I had no idea what I was planning on doing. My attention turned to the now rocking chair and the lightbulb in my head went off. I hid behind the chair and pushed my body against the corner of the wall and put a hand over my mouth. It was darkening in the house due to the lights not being on. He was coming downstairs but suddenly he paused before his steps became lighter. He was searching for me. He muttered incoherent words as he came into the living room. Subconsciously, the box cutter that was once in my pocket was now open and gripped tightly in my grasp. I came from behind the chair seeing his back disappearing from sight but without thinking I charged and swung my arm to slice him. He swiftly moved to the side and grasped onto my wrist and swung me to the wall. I sucked in a painful breathe at the contact of my back hitting the wall before dropping on my knees coughing violently.

My hair was pulled back and the box cutter was pressed against me just threatening to press deeper and cut open my trembling neck. "I suggest you stop while you're ahead," He harshly released his grip letting me fall to the wooden floor. So much for a sneak attack. "Stay here," He warned before he ventured out into the cold. I stood up slowly releasing the breath I didn't know I held.

Wait, he just walked out the door with no keys... so it was never locked. Why couldn't I open it then? I stopped halfway towards the door knowing I shouldn't risk it. I would just have to wander and wait for his return... not that I favorited that idea I would rather take my chances with the snow storm. Even so, I spend my hours exploring what I could - the rooms mostly. Lucky, due to my snooping around I managed to find a lighter and candles which were extremely convenient considering we had no power. When it got dark outside I sat a couple of candles in the living room and kitchen and lit them. The flames from the fireplace were completely burned out and it got ten times colder in here. So much for trying to not walk around with multiple blankets. Eventually, I became tired of waiting and hungry and I didn't want to touch the food from earlier. He's been for a long time either that or he left me here to rot.

I fell asleep once more but I woke up every five minutes it seemed. It was getting colder than it was earlier so everywhere I went the two thick blankets followed. Night time came and he still wasn't back it made the fear in my heart grow bigger. Every noise I heard made me jump a little I didn't know if it was him or someone else that managed to find. I leaned back against the wall and closed my eyes allowing myself to try and find some comfort in the dark.

The door swung open making the walls shake "Come outside," His voice was rough and tired. I spun around dropping the blankets and the sight made my heart jump. He was drench in blood, had a gash on his cheek, his hair was all over the place, and he looked exhausted along with irritated. His eyes stared down holding an emotion I couldn't really define. Gently nodding my feet took cautious steps towards him. He towered over me once we were outside. He went inside the truck and took out the bloody ax "There's firewood in the truck take what you can carry in the house," He dismissed as I nodded but never letting my eyes leaving the ax in his tight grip. The coldness immediately attacked my skin and I was already freezing but the heavy snow and high winds made it worse so with chattering teeth I started grabbing the small pieces and running back and forth until it came to the more heavy pieces. I managed to grab six pieces before my arms gave out. He came in carrying eight logs sitting them down. Well, that was quick. He pulled the bloody coat off before going upstairs. I opened the drawer grabbing the matches.

"I see you found the matches along with searching through the entire cabin," He snatched the matches out of my grip leaving me to tremble more but from fear. Whatever happened out there led to him killing someone I'm sure and I didn't want to be the one he took the rest of his anger out on. Once the fireplace was lit he rummaged through the fridge taking out three cans of beer and plopped on the couch. Now he's drinking just peachy. Those three cans soon turned into 8 and then 11 leaving me more scared I don't know how acted once he was drunk. "Hey you come here," He said but I just stared at him. "Come here before I make you and you don't want that," I slowly went over to him and sat on the couch. He reached his hands towards my face and pinched my cheeks. "Lucius," was all he said before releasing me.

"What?" I said quietly

He stared back at me with an eyebrow raised "My name, it's Lucius" He picked up another can gulping it down. I rubbed small circles on my cheeks and went back near the fireplace. A sigh escaped my lips as I laid against the wooden floors well that was until he had an outburst and a half full beer Can flew across the room crashing into the wall. My eyes went wide. Nope, I'm taking the blankets and going upstairs. I'd rather freeze than deal with this manic. Once upstairs I had shut the door locking it.

Droplets fell on my face making me scrunch but as more fell I slightly smacked whatever it was. There more conscious I got the more the feeling of a dangerous figure towering over me grew stronger. A small moan escaped my lips and my eyes slowly opened. There stood Lucius, bloody and furious. "Get your ass up now," I threw the covers off and scrambled to my feet. Gunshots went off and they were close too close. Running downstairs without busting my ass was almost successful until I reached the bottom. He came over and threw me over his shoulder rushing outside. The backseat door was open and I was thrown inside. He hopped in the drivers side backed up quickly before speeding off. How he was going to drive through all this snow was a mystery to me but it was better than staying there and getting shot up. He made a sharp left turn making me slam my head against the window. After being tossed around from his driving we finally made it back to his domain.
