Ambrosine
Two months later, May.I nervously knocked at Zora's door.
" Hi baby girl how are you?"
" Hi Ms. Zora"
" Come on in" She smiled as we headed towards the kitchen where Saint Josiah's father sat.
" Hey sweetheart how are you?"
" I'm good just hanging in there how are you?"
" I'm good doing the same!"
The room filled with silence.
" Still no word from Saint?" I hesitated to ask.
" Baby we just don't know what happened. I'm just praying my baby is okay but Trent told us not to worry so neither should you."
" It's just nobody is telling me anything and Logan is asking for him every time she cries. It's been hard on me. I feel so terrible for saying this but I wish she'd just forget him." I could feel my lip quiver.
" I'm sorry babe but we're just as clueless. I even went so far as asking Natalie if she spoke to him and she said no." She sighed
" Oh- okay well I'll just get out of your hair than, thank you Ms. Zora. It was silly of me to come here so emotional."
" Chile you better call us mom and dad, you know that boy marrying you. Stay for dinner!" His Father spoke up causing me to smile.
I nodded in agreement. Yesterday made two months since he was gone and I was feeling lonely. He just vanished.
I decided to spend therapy with my mother now that Saint was missing in action.
I honestly think she's having marriage problems because she hasn't went home in a while and rarely talks about Pablo.
" Is that your cap and gown?" Zora broke me out my thoughts reminding me why I really came over.
" Oh yea, I just picked it up from school. The day is slowly approaching." I smiled. My graduation will be held May 7.
" I initially came here to ask if you two would accept these tickets? I have 12 but my family is extremely small"
" Of course we'd be honored to see our daughter graduate!" His father spoke up.
" Here's four, I would love it if Trent and Nova came."
" We'll be there cheering you on sweetie!"
I couldn't help but hugged them both.
" Thank you for being so kind to me."
"He'll be home soon baby."
I sighed hesitantly giving her a fifth ticket.
" Here's one just in case you know"
She kissed my forehead.
"Ease your mind baby, I know he's okay."
Ambrosine took those words into consideration, it was the only thing that would her sane for the following weeks.
Omniscient
Miami, FLSaint Josiah was now running an operation in the streets of Miami to take his mind off of the mistakes he's made. He became obsessed with keeping track of Paolo's case. She was taken to trail but there was no pinpoint on to when it would end or what decisions would be made.
Saint got her one of the best lawyers there is, the same man who works for El Chapo and helped him avoid a death penalty. The police are still currently trying to piece together where the ice pick ended up.
Saint was being careless for the first time ever in this game, forgot to remove the salt container he touched from the bathroom but luckily Rodriguez was smart enough to go back into the crime scene and tamper the evidence. The salt had yet to be bagged which was an advantage because it rolled out of sight. His rage and love of Ambrosine initially clouded his mind.
Police and detectives assigned to the case were determined to figure out who this man mentioned accidentally was.
Paola was scared and afraid but was determined to face any consequences now. Prison would be more peaceful than the years she spent being tormented. She thought that Saint was her guardian angel. She smoothly switched up her story when she slipped up and said "The man". The new lie was now that a man was on a phone call with her grandson at 3am and she asked him to be mindful of her sleeping because he was very loud and he lashed out on her. I guess you can say Paola wasn't so dumb after all because the FaceTime call in Rocko's call log supported the story. Paola wanted nothing more but to return to her family in Indonesia. She originally left the country with her young grandson to start a better life so that she could send for her daughter but once Rocko's mother heard about how he began to get into gang violence she immediately refused and begged her mother to come home. Paola wanted to go home badly but money was tight on both ends.
When Paola got her first phone call she told her family what had happened and they assured her that he deserved it all. Blood makes you related but loyalty makes you family. They were big on loyalty and sticking together because the family comes from so little.
Back at the office where Saint mainly spent his time, the workers were often fearful of him and worked in silence. Saint always had a dark look on his face and only spoke when it was dealing with drugs or money. He didn't care to build any relationships because in his mind this life in Miami was temporary. It was nothing like back home, his workers weren't even considered workers, they were his family that he grew up and trusted his life with. The only way the workers even knew his name was because of Pablo. They thought he was a complete egotistic asshole but since he was family of Pablo's the was respected.
Saint sat scrolling on a fake Instagram page watching videos of his daughters smiling.
Logan was almost one and even standing on her own. In no time she'll be walking and Ambrosine finally got her to say 'Mama' opposed to 'Dada' now and it warmed his heart but also filled it with hatred for himself because he let Apryl's words go in one ear and out the next. Her instagram post of Logan had so many comments.
Saint sighed. He really wanted a miracle to happen so he could be there for her graduation and Logan's party.
He scrolled further to Natalie's page. She was vacationing in the Dominican Republic with Nova. Ambrosine even commented on the post sending hearts to Nova.
He smiled seeing that they were being mature. Tears dropped down on his phone. He desperately missed his biological daughter. Nova turned him into a man and he failed her returning to his boy like ways.
Someone began to knock at the door. He quickly pulled himself together and that dark look returned again.
"Enter" He spoke firmly.
It was two of his workers, Mitch and Roy.
They entered with the shaken women who we all know as the woman who drugged Saint. She got caught slipping posting about being in Miami for vacation. He smirked as she began to cry. He believed that the streets had him under influence and he's been ruined so he didn't care about taking a life—or ordering somebody to do so. He was too caught up on love. He was back on some reckless shit.
Boy did he need Ambrosine more than ever. They have something powerful. So powerful that a simple touch by her can calm him down. Her soft voice made him vulnerable. He soon realized that what they had wasn't toxic, it was sacred and beautiful because it was full of life lessons, love and growth.
" Handle her, I don't want a trace of hair left."
" Sure thing boss."
She yelled out sorry over and over as they dragged her.
He turned his chair and continued to scroll staring at more photos of Nova and Logan.
