Swan Queen Once Shots

I chose you, always.

This is going to be sad, it's a one-shot where Regina is the one to run after a fight and does something unforgivable. Emma is heartbroken.

It's a happy ending of sorts, meaning the happy ending isn't written but it's hinted at. If you want, at the end of this, I can write a short one shot of them reconciling and fluff.

"I don't know if I can forgive you."

"Please forgive me..."

"It hurts too much."

"I didn't mean it."

"You still did it."

"It was an accident."

"You accidentally kissed Robin?"

The room was silent, Emma is sitting on the couch while Regina was sitting over on the chair. She had tried to sit closer but Emma would just get up and move to sit somewhere else. The entire situation was her fault, she went to the bar when she was upset with Emma and she got a bit drunker than expected. She then proceeded to flirt and lead Robin on before leaning in and kissing him, what she didn't expect is Emma walking in after searching all night for her and seeing exactly that. Her kissing her soulmate, the one she left in order to be happy.

"I was drunk, Emma."

"Are you saying that if you saw me kissing Killian in a bar and I told you I was drunk everything would be fixed?"

Regina didn't like when Emma was right, she also hated when Emma used her cold cut off voice on her but she deserves it. The room goes silent again and Regina looks down at her hands that are intertwined together on her lap. She didn't realize until then how tense she was, her hands are clinging to each other.

The silence continues until it was abruptly cut by Emma standing up, "I have to get out of here."

"you're leaving?" the brunette's body ready's to stand in nerves.

"I just need some time to myself."

"Please don't leave me."

Silence, something that isn't uncommon with this conversation, again takes over the room. It's a standoff, Regina is still by the chair but Emma is closer to the front door, she isn't looking at the brunette but the words that the love of her life just said sting.

A million thoughts race through Emma's head, but all the hurt she's feeling in this moment is overwhelming. She never thought Regina would be the one to be stupid enough to kiss someone else when they fought, or that she would be the one to leave the house and have Emma chase after her. "What do you want from me, Regina?" Her voice was tired, she just wanted to be in bed with her girlfriend, happy and smiling.

"I just want you."

"well, you screwed that up!" Emma breaks, "I can't do this anymore."

Regina takes a few steps towards Emma the moment those words left the blonde's lips, she knew she had messed up but she didn't realize how bad until just then. "Emma, please. Just listen to me, I'm so sorry."

"Don't you see that I'm trying to?" She looks at Regina as a tear begins to fall down her cheek, "It hurts. If you wanted to be with him you could have just told me before, not pity me and choose me over it." I'm never good enough

"Em-ma! No!" As Emma tries to continue walking towards the door Regina hops out in front of her and holds her arms gently, "no that's not what it was!"
