Hey. I figured out how I want to end this book. Its not happening anytime soon so don't worry. Also I almost forgot to publish this today, but I didn't so, enjoy!
Zora's POV
I wake up the next day in complete blackness. I push myself up and remember that I am laying on a bed. Then I remember everything that happened yesterday.
I jump out of bed and walk carefully over to the door, somehow accidentally turning on the light. I cover my eyes for a second to get used to the bright light and open the door. On the other side of the door is Wilford, which kind of surprises me.
"Oh, h-hey Zora. Sorry about bothering you yesterday but I really need that gun-"
"Dark took the gun," I mutter looking at the ground. He bends over just enough to get in my face.
"Sorry, what was that?" he asks putting his hand behind his ear so he can 'hear' better.
"Dark took the gun not long after you died. What he did with it is a mystery to me," I say a little louder than before. He stands up straight and nods.
"Okay thanks, Zora. I'll go get Darkiplier for you and my gun. Okay bye Zora," He waves at me as he walks away. I just awkwardly wave back before shutting myself back into the room. I know that Mark said that he can revive him but it still makes me uncomfortable just thinking about it.
I walk over to the bed and sit down to think.
Five minutes later Dark walks in. I look at him and notice him holding a tray with breakfast foods on it.
"Hey Zora, I brought you breakfast. No need to thank me, it'll probably taste like crap. a fellow alter ego really wanted to make breakfast for you so I let them and this is what they made for you," Dark explains and hands me the tray.
"Hey Dark?" I ask as Dark is about to walk out.
"Yeah, Zora?" He turns back around to face me.
"If we're in the upside down, why does everything look normal?" I question looking from the food to him. He seems confused by my question but shrugs the feeling away.
"Some questions deserve to not be answered," He says and turns back towards the door."When you're done, please call me through your mind. I'll be here almost immediately. Until then, I have something to take care." He walks out and the door closes by itself.
***A Hungry Time Skip***
Finishing up my food I mentally call for Dark. He opens the door as quick as he said he would. He walks over to the tray, grabs it and it disappears instantly. He grabs my left hand and I stand up as he leads me out of the room.
In a few minutes, we end up outside. Then walking away from the castle and all of the other personas. Away from life. The grass that we walk on seems to be more dead the farther we get from anyone.
Dark suddenly stops and so do I. It kind of looks like we are in a barren area. He lets go of my hand and it falls down to my side.
"This is where I isolated my part of the world. Everything out there is corrupted and toxic for any being that dares to go past my barrier. All except the entity that first lived here. Me being part of the entity can go out there. You too, but you would just die slowly as your human side would get consumed by anything out there. It would take your body and use it as a home for some sort of parasite. I've seen it before with my very own eyes. It was taking children, those poor kids," he explains, him remembering some sort of thing that happened.
"So you were serious when you called me your daughter?" I ask him looking up to him.
"There were some humans here trying to figure out this realm but they were all slowly taken, consumed, and then the creature out there escaped-"
"Why are you telling me this?" I ask, louder than before. He seems taken aback but quickly fixes his posture.
"Ah yes, that question. Well, you'll need to be informed about the dangers out here so you won't leave the barrier and get consumed by the creatures that live out there," he clarifies for me. I just nod and look at the floor before thinking of a question to ask him.
"What is it like, being Celine and Damien and a weird entity all in one body?" I ask out of nowhere. He looks at me curiously but turns towards the barrier.
"It is something no one should ever experience. One of our friends died thanks to that no good Kernel, but he was brought to space between here and there. So we helped him back to the overworld, but in doing so, we and the entity took control of his body. With his quiet attitude, it wasn't hard to pull off his personality. Until we, like many others, were banished to here with the only back is to possess someone from the overworld. How did you know that I am more than this?" Dark questions looking at me curiously.
"That... Is a good question! Well, I got bored last night, so I got onto my laptop and ended up watching Markiplier. And I just so happened to accidentally tap on a Who Killed Markiplier and then I watched all of it...?" I explain, kind of hesitant on what to say. He looks really mad. Like really mad. He picks me up from the collar of my shirt, leaving me unable to touch the ground.
"Why? What was the purpose of it? That dirty bastard had no right to make them, and you definitely had no right to watch those useless videos!" He yells into my face.
I try to show no expression and try as hard as possible to not cry. I hate being yelled at, it makes me cry. Yet somehow a tear manages to leaves my eye and rolls down my face and drops onto Dark's sleeve. He notices my tear and instantly lets me back down.
"Sorry for yelling at you. I just wasn't expected tha- oh. There he is," Dark distracts himself by looking back out into the barren wastelands.
"Who?" I also look in the direction he is facing. There I see two people walking towards us. One in black, the other in dark green.
"AntiSepticEye."
