Last time I edited this chapter was October 24, that was soo long ago. Well, I missed Valentine's Day. Oops. Sorry. I hope you enjoy this anyway!
Zora's POV
Dark grabs my arm and heads out of the room. I stumble as I try to walk but I just end up giving up as he drags me to his desired location.
We go down an unusual set of stairs and I notice how the walls at the bottom of the stairs are glass. Huh weird.
As we reach the bottom, I notice that though the windows are giant orbs that are impossible to see through. Dark releases me and I run up to the windows to look at them a bit more.
"What are these?" I ask Dark as I point at one of them.
"These are simulation orbs. Whenever a new ego arrives, we place them into their own orb until it's safe to let them roam our world. That one specifically belongs to someone we're going to release today actually. Follow me."
We continue down the hall and another set of stairs until we each what I assume is the door to the orb. He walks over to a panel on the wall and types in a code. A light above it turns blue and the door opens.
"Stay here. I'll be back in a moment." Dark slowly walks inside and I lose him through the black fog within the room. I look around the space and find a chair. Right behind me. Out of nowhere.
I take a step away from it and patiently wait for Dark.
Ten minutes pass and he still isn't back yet. I lean against the wall and slide myself to the floor in boredom.
Five more minutes pass and I start playing thumb wars with myself. It's very difficult.
Another minute passes and I'm still bored.
Many seconds later Dark runs out holding a body. It looks oddly familiar.
"That's because you've seen him before," Dark comments between heavy breaths.
"What happened in there?" I ask in confusion.
"Well time slows down when your in an orb. So a day in there could be a few days or so here. I also had some difficulty finding him so I ran around at full speed for about 30 seconds and I found him unconscious on the floor. Quite convenient really, I didn't want to knock him out the hard way," Dark informs as he taps his finger on the wall and a hospital bed comes out.
He places the body on the bed and sends the bed back into the wall.
"He should be awake in a few minutes. Let's head up before we miss his awakening." We start walking back up the stairs and head to the same room I was once in before.
In the bed is the same person. This time I can actually see his face. It's none other than Mr. Squirrels. All The peanut butter that's usually in his face was ,what I assume, cleaned off. His cape thing is all jumbled up and looks like a mess. His hair is also faintly dirty with dust all in it.
"Do you know what happened to him?" I ask concerningly. Dark simply nods and watches as Mr. Squirrels wakes up. He slowly sits up and rubs his head before looking between the two of us.
"What happened?" He asks, his voice shaky.
"After you tried to escape, you smacked your head on a branch and went unconscious. I took you to safety before they could take you again. Do you have a headache?" Dark asks with a monotone. Mr. Squirrels lightly nods for a moment. Dark summons a glass with an odd colored liquid within it. Dark hands the glass over to Mr. Squirrels. He chugs it and hands the glass back to Dark.
"You should have a room made here shortly. Your house of residence is done if you're ready for it," Dark offers.
"Yes please you're Majesty," Mr. Squirrels says and jumps off the bed. They both walk out the door and I follow them out.
"So are you okay?" I question Mr. Squirrels confusingly.
"Never felt better princess," he states. I nod awkwardly and fall behind a little bit. We reach the door and Dark opens it wide for us to walk out but stops me before I can go.
"Stay here. I need to do this myself, you'll just get in my way," he commands before walking out and closing the door behind him. I shrug my shoulders and walk around.
Before I know it, I find myself in the West wing of the castle. Or that's what Dark called it anyway. He told me months ago not to come to this wing because of water damage. That didn't make much sense at the time, and it still doesn't, because why would there be water in this wing to begin with.
I walk into the first door I see and it's actually a staircase. I rush down the stairs and trip on something then start tumbling down the stairs.
I hit the bottom with a loud clunk. I sit myself up and rub my head. Smacking it off of all of those stairs is really painful. Doesn't help my bullet wound either. I take a deep breath and let my hand go from my head and try to get up from the floor.
I use the wall as support as I manage to stand up. I take a good look around the room. It looks old yet sciency.
The pain in my body lessens and I slowly walk over to a table against one wall of the room. I grab a book that is laying wide open. It's blank. I flip through a few more pages and notice that it's empty. I place it back and see another book that's upright on a tall shelf.
I grab a stool that happens to be in here and I position it just barely under the shelf. I jump onto the stool and snipe the book from the shelf. I jump back down and sit on the stool. I open to page one and see a picture of friends. Not just friends, but Mark egos. All of them from Who Killed Markiplier.
The kernel, the detective, Celine, Damian, Markiplier, and another Mark ego that I couldn't quite name. I study the figure closely. It looks like a Mark ego, but I can tell that it isn't.
I flip the next page to see if it has the names on the back. Instead, in bloody red letters, it reads:
"Help me out."
