A/N: This is so fluffy but the drama will come soon;) I just like to ease it in before doing something because I love the characters and I hate making them look bad but this is fan fic so:)!

'Really?!' I was exuding excitement when my journalism teacher approached me with an offer. She had just told me that ESPN Deportes had been looking for an intern for two months in Spain and she had mentioned my name. I freaked out because this was hands on experience I could get that could decide my career.
'You are the best writer and public speaker in the class. I don't see why not.' She smiled but obviously she couldn't show much excitement.
'Can I let you know tomorrow? I mean it's most likely yes but I want to prepare myself.' I said and she shook her head.
'Yes of course. This internship will be towards the end of this semester, the last two months. It will be a study abroad program so you'll have a place to stay, and a host family. You will also have to take a few classes while you're there, obviously.' She states scrolling through her computer and reading the email.
'Yes of course.' I bid her goodbye, smiling so hard it hurt. When I saw Jesse outside I threw myself into the car and hugged him.
'Well someone is extra happy to see me.' He laughed and I put on my seatbelt as we drove off.
'You won't believe what happened.' I said and he nodded gesturing for me to continue.
'Well at the end of this semester my teacher offered me an internship in Spain for ESPN Deportes!' I smiled and he pulled over the car and wrapped me in a hug.
'That's so amazing!' He mumbled into my hair as he hug me tightly. I was overwhelmed and I could've cried because I was so happy.
'I'm so excited! It's for two months.' I said and his face fell.
'That's so long.' He said and I half smiled.
'You can visit me when you have off.' I suggested and he smiled again to probably not make it seem like it was a negative.
'Of course.' He said and we drove to my apartment so I could tell Marcus. We pulled up and Jesse trailed behind me as I walked up to the door which was weird but he had been scrolling through something on his phone I assumed was work. I swung open the door and Marcus was napping on the coach still in his training clothes.
'Honey I'm home!' I shouted and he sprung awake rolling his eyes at me.
'I can see that, and you brought a friend.' Marcus smiled getting up and embracing Jesse before walking into the kitchen. I followed him and smiled widely as he rose his eyebrow.
'Whats going on?' He asked pulling out a water bottle.
'I may or may not have gotten an internship in spain for ESPN Deportes!' I cheered and Marcus almost choked on his water.
'No way! I'm so proud of you!' He smiled lifting me up into a bear hug. I laughed and squeezed him back.
'I'll get more details when I fully accept tomorrow but it'll be during the last two months of this semester so I need to start planning.' I said and clapped my hands.
'You know I love you but I don't plan, Jesse has got this one.' He pat my back and walked out leaving me and Jesse in the kitchen alone. I jumped onto the island and let my legs dangle over the edge. Jesse was standing across from me with his back leaned on the sink.
'What's wrong?' I asked, questioning his sudden sullen mood.
'This is going to sound so mushy but I'm going to miss you.' He blurted and looked down making me crack a wide smile.
'Aw you're so cute!' I laughed jumping off the island top and wrapping my arms around his torso. He smelt like he just showered, fresh and clean. His cologne wasn't strong but intense enough that the sweet smell filled my nose. I smiled and he wrapped his arms around me tightly.
'Sol?' He asked and I looked up at him.
     'Yeah?'
'This isn't the way I was going to ask but do you trust me?' He asked and I took a breath. It's been a few weeks since we both agreed that Jesse wasn't ready and I needed time to trust him again. I've spoken to Jena on many occasions and we even hung out but we never spoke about Jesse, and it was weighing on me. Me dating Jesse wouldn't surprise her since she knew he had feelings. Yet, something was holding me back and I didn't want it to. I had wanted this for almost three years, to be with him and now that I could, everything felt off. I thought for a little while Jesse waited for my answer. I trusted him because he proved to me that he listened to me, he also mentioned he was all in on New Years. I'm here for a good time not a long time so I went with my gut.
'Yeah.' I breathed out and he smiled so widely.
'Alright then, come with me.' He said and dragged me out of the house and Marcus just rolled his eyes at us as we left. I thought he was going to ask to make us official but now we were driving pretty fast to a destination I did not know. He was playing music and we were both singing along as I tried to find something familiar in the scenery to get a hint as to were we were going. It felt like we were in the car for hours but in reality it was just over two hours when we pulled up to the beach. I was so confused as to why Jesse would drive all the way out here when we brought no towels and no bathing suits and it was also winter. He parked the car in the empty parking lot and smiled as he got out. He grabbed my hand and walked over to the sand.
'Jesse you have training tomorrow.' I said and he just shrugged. It was about six pm now which means we would get home pretty late. I quickly texted Marcus and he went on about us being crazy but I made a mental note to text him back later.
'Alright so I always pictured it like this.' He smiled and I look at him confused.
    'Huh?'
'I don't think you'll remember but it was almost after a year since we had met, you were still at home with your dad and brother, and Marcus and I had driven down to pick you up and take you to the beach. It was a beach closer to you but this is the closest one to us. Anyways, we were on the beach almost all day and towards the end Marcus had offered to run and grab some food so we could picnic on the beach. You had on a yellow romper and your hair was still wet and salty. The sunset looked so nice and the colors reflected on you. You were making a corny joke about the ocean and I just laughed. That's when I knew that no matter what would happen, it'd be you, always.' He took a breathe and I just smiled at him, my cheeks turning red from the wind.
'Do you have this mantra for every girl or am I special Lingard?' I smirked and he rolled his eyes smiling.
'Nah you got the special Lingard treatment.' He smiled and I rolled my eyes at him.
'Noted.' I said looking at the sun that was beginning to set completely now.
'So as I was saying. Ever since that day I knew it wasn't just a one time kiss. I knew I wanted to kiss you many more times. So would you do my the honor of letting me kiss you many more times and being my girlfriend?' He looked down at me and I kissed him softly, he smiled into the kiss.
'I'd like that.' I smiled and he kissed my forehead.
