I walk into school the next day expecting you hear hateful comments and laughs, but instead, I'm complimented, people smiling at me, people talking to me.
"I love your hair, Val!'
" You were amazing last night Val!"
"Oh my gosh Val would you like to eat lunch with us?!"
I keep having people talk to me until Xena and I got to class. "What happened?"
"Maybe everyone finally understands the real you" Xena smiles.
Zayden walks in and sat beside me. "Hey, Val. You did fantastic last night. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you that right after."
I hugged him and smiled. "It's all good Zayden!" We continued to talk until the announcements came on.
"After a long time, if thinking about it, our school will be demolishing our none LGBT friendly attitudes!"
Zayden, Xena and I cheered. "Yay!!"
"So, Valentina, to celebrate last night, how about we all have a sleepover at my house! My treat!" Xena smiles.
"That would be awesome! Let's go!!"
