The platforms begin to slowly rise up out of the ground as the tributes prepare themselves. It was time. In a matter of a few minutes, they were expecting only about half of these tributes to survive. Who those tributes will be, well, it's all going to depend. Just before the platforms rise out of the ground, a few tributes say what could very well be their last words. "Show time," the girl from District Four smirks as the first bit of light peeks down through the earth at her. Next thing they knew, they were in the arena, facing the Cornucopia.

"What the hell!" one tribute shouts, and they are right to. Though they were lucky that they weren't blown off that platform sky high. The Cornucopia, usually filled with supplies and weapons of the like, was seriously lacking in the weapons department. In fact, there were no weapons, at all. Just supplies. Suddenly, the air became more tense. These tributes were animals, and a lack of weapons wasn't about to stop most of them from getting what they wanted. Taking the rest of the countdown to scope scope out the arena, it seems to have been divided into four sections, spreading out from a one hundred foot radius circle around the Cornucopia.

It took only a mere second to realize what the four sections could have represented; the four seasons. The countdown got to ten, nine, eight, seven... the tributes kept their eyes locked on the Cornucopia. Four, three, two... one. They couldn't have flew off of those platforms fast enough. It was like a stampede, tributes grabbing whatever they could, not even looking. Ashton had yelled for his partner, Angelica, to grab anything she could in five seconds and run straight for the summer section. He took pleasure in snapping District Three's boy tribute, Bobby's neck, before running after her.

The tributes scattered faster than ever. Some people must have had the same idea as Ashton, because the boy from Ten, and the girl from Eight were killed as well. The boy, his neck snapped. The girl, she was chocked. The lack of a blood bath at the Cornucopia would mean that they were in for much worse once the games have truly begun. Just then, a voice came on the intercom. It was the game maker.

"Tributes, welcome, to The Hunger Games! You may have noticed at the Cornucopia, a lack of a certain something. I am pleased to inform you, that you will find that something, if you know where to look." And that was that. Suddenly, the tributes grew frantic. They knew that they had to find the weapons before the weapons found them. It was a whole knew aspect to the games.

"Come on!" Savannah hissed at the careers. "I know where to go."

"How are so sure?" Annie tested her. Savannah didn't speak at first, and kept moving.

"Guess you're just going to have to trust me on that." The careers followed, prepared to be on the look out in case anyone tried to sneak up on them, though that was highly unlikely. Niall stayed close by Annie, and they took the back of their group.

District Nine couple, Liam and Abby, had headed to the spring section, where it was mainly one huge meadow. They crouched behind a bush momentarily to see what they had gathered from the Cornucopia. A few morsels of food, including apples and crackers, an empty jar that they could use for water, if they found some, and rope. Liam had been the one who killed the girl from Eight with it. "I need to get my hands on a knife," she whined. Liam nodded.

"Let's go, before everyone else finds the stuff first." Abby followed Liam's lead. They hadn't walked far when Liam held his hand out for Abby to stop. In the dead silence, he heard footsteps, and spun around, ready to face the intruder. The girl gasped, jumping back. She was from District Ten. Abby stopped Liam from doing anything. The girl was unarmed.

"Were you following us?" she asked, curiously.

"No, I mean, I know it looks that way, but honestly I wasn't. I was running from the careers. They're in the fall section. They've already got weapons, and they might be heading here next." Abby looked at Liam for a moment. Her honesty to them seamed to gain their trust when Liam confirmed that he could hear the loud an obnoxious voices and cheers of the career pack.
