Manresa School
POV of AlfredThis happens after the game of tag. Still three days before the attack on NFLD, Canada.
They're calling us to go back to our classrooms for something "special." This usually happens in the first and last days of school. It's usually about updates on what's new around here. I'm getting this feeling that this is something different though. There doesn't seem to be anything that new here.
I head over to my classroom and sit beside my friend Seth. I seem unlucky this school year, because the only friends I really have in my classroom are Seth and my other friend named Benjo. Seth is a superhuman who hides his superhuman identity. There are superhumans who do that, they don't want to reveal to others that they have powers. The main reasons why they don't, are either for safety or to blend in.
My other friend Benjo is a really prayerful guy. He's also really busy with sports... and I mean, really busy! He's usually in bowling games. And of course, he prays a lot. Since he's usually that busy, it's pretty rare for him to hangout with us. I guess that part's fine, since he's not really an official member in my group of friends haha.
My classmates have settled down and my adviser decides to start stalking. His name is Sir Mariano.
Sir Mariano: Good morning class. What I'm going to talk about today is about superhumans...
I do not like this... at all.
Sir Mariano: I will be talking about how fake they are. The government of our country told the Department of Education to make sure that teachers in schools should talk about how fake superhumans are at least once.
If I get mad right now... they're obviously going to make it my fault. Plus, the school knows that I'm a superhuman, because I don't hide my powers. People are going to look at me right now.
Sir Mariano: The word/s superhumans or alpha humans are false words. The humans who call themselves these just believe that they are better than the rest.
The face of my adviser looks so insecure. It also looks like he's starting to get uncomfortable while talking. And this is also pissing me off a lot! The look on his face is making it worse. He has to quit talking if it's just going to make him look unsure. He probably feels that way because he was forced to talk about this! He knows that what he's saying isn't true! But he still keeps talking!
Sir Mariano: Do any of you have any questions?
Benjo: Who named these humans superhumans?
It looks like he's trying to make our adviser admit something. Anyway, I'm interested to see if he knows the answer to that question. Even though no one really knows the name of the person.
Sir Mariano: The term was made before 3030 BC by someone who claimed himself to be a superhuman.
Ok... say what now? "Claimed himself." Really... oh really now? What's up with that phrase, huh? It's irritating to hear, I swear. The government is so careless and stupid about their lies.
Edward: Sir! Doesn't someone here claim himself to be a superhuman?
Sir Mariano: Mmm... Yes. I know that Alfred claims himself to be one.
Edward huh... One of the crazy fighters in the school main fighting roster who doesn't care about pain. There are two fighting rosters in this school: The main and the underground roster. What is this man thinking right now???
