Coffee. That's all that Jungwoo could even focus on at the moment, warm if not scolding hot, and fragrant with a bitter smell and taste.
It eases his mind, if on in the slightest, but for him, it is enough.
Taeyong is not at he café today, and it makes Jungwoo feel emptier than he already was. Though, he's unsure why the older male has that kind of hold over him.
He sighs, setting the cup down before wandering over to the shelf with all the unread books. He finished Everything, Everything a moment ago, and was looking for something to take his mind off things.
By chance, he stumbled upon a book pushed to the back of the case, almost hidden completely out of sight, but still visible to those who looked hard enough.
It was an old book about Lofn, the Norse goddess of forbidden loves.
Jungwoo shrugged, deciding to take the book back to the table, even though he prefers Greek mythology to norse. But hey, it was better than nothing at this point.
He sat down, getting as comfortable as humanly possible without changing into sweatpants, and opened the book, reading every word with utmost care.
It was by the third page that Jungwoo decided that he hated norse mythology, with the single exception of Lofn.
Lofn, who had been described as a blonde woman with smoldering green eyes layered with black kohl, and freckles as scattered as the stars in the night, was someone Jungwoo had become very deeply connected to within an instant.
According to his book, as real or unreal as the true orgins were unknown, described her as having been a mortal in the beginning. Then, because she and the man she loved couldn't be together, she became the goddess of forbidden love, blessed by Odin, and sent to keep lovers from having one another.
And Jungwoo likes to think that mythology is sometimes real, because it feels as if Lofn is real, keeping him from the people he wants to love so dearly, but can't.
And just as his mind continues further down that path of self pitying for his horrible love life, the bell above the door rings, and Jungwoo looks up.
Taeyong is shrugging off a black coat, and his hair is now Red instead of white, a change that Jungwoo finds himself liking as Taeyong says a brief hello to the owner before tying on his apron.
Jungwoo is just about to return to his book when Taeyong notices him, giving a small but gleeful grin, and a small wave.
And Jungwoo only has three words going through his head, though they aren't very nice.
Fuck you, Lofn.
[A/N]
Oh look, it's a wild update,
Only found on rare occasions in which a fan girl decides to stay up until 427am and write updates for every book.
Even though she should be asleep, and happily dreaming of her biases.
Oh, well.
I hope that this is not too unsatisfactory, and also, I hope you read the being og this A/N in a horrible Australian accent like those wild life documentaries. 🐨🐨🐨🐒🐗🐗🌴🌴🌴🌲🌲🌲🌲
No but really, everything is just kinda filler right now, and I feel bad, but my brain won't oet me write anything else.
And, just a friendly reminder, that if a sentence cuts off mid way, it probably means that I either forgot to finish writing it, or my wattpad glitched again. 😧😐😞😒
So, enjoy and bear with me here. 🐻
Love, Siha.☀☀☀
