Jungwoo was at the hospital in a matter of minutes, immediately hugging Jaehyun when he saw the male crying. He and Jaehyun had been friends forever, and he knew that Johnny meant a lot to the older boy.
Jaehyun and Johnny often hung out during their high school years, as Jaehyun had lived in America for four years, and Johnny had been completely new to korea, since he came all the way from Chicago.
Jungwoo had mixed opinions about the foreign boy, but he knew everything about Jaehyun, and the fact that Jaehyun trusted Johnny, was enough reason for Jungwoo to do the same.
Several hours passed by, Jaehyun finally calming down a bit as he curled up against Jungwoo's chest. They had long since abandoned the uncomfortable plastic chairs to sit in a corner on the floor, away from prying eyes.
Finally, with JaeHyun calm, Jungwoo was able to ask what had happened to Johnny.
"He was on his way to pick me up from work.... and about half way there.... a car ran into his motorcycle from behind. I only knew he was here, because I'm the first person on his contacts list." Jaehyun was a mumbling mess, eyes red and puffy as his body shook a little.
"Oh." Was all Jungwoo could manage to get out of his mouth.
They stayed in the same position for the next two hours, only getting upon the arrival of a nurse. She had a wide smile on her face as she approached the two boys on the floor.
"Your friend is going to be fine, he'll probably be in and out of it from time to time, but he'll be okay. You're free to go see him now, he's in room 339." She flashed another smile before walking out of the waiting room, leaving Jaehyun to exhale a shaky breath of relief.
"Thank God." Was all Jaehyun said as he detached himself from Jungwoo, standing up with a new found calmness as they made their way to Johnny's hospital room.
Monitors beeped in an even stream as they entered Johnny's room. He was hooked up to an IV, and had a breathing tube hooked up, but he seemed fine. Well, besides the noticeable bruises.
"Hey, Jeffrey." Johnny said with a low chuckle, smiling as Jaehyun sat in the chair besides the hospital bed. Jungwoo had elected to stay by the door out of sight, to let Jaehyun and Johnny have some time to talk.
Jaehyun smiled as Johnny reached his hand out, holding JaeHyun's cheek lovingly as Jaehyun began to talk.
"I told you that your motorcycle was going to get you killed one day." Jaehyun said with a carefree tone as Johnny simply chuckled at him, dropping his hand down to hold onto one of JaeHyun's as Jungwoo silently uwu-ed by the door.
"I didn't die, Jae."
"But isn't this close enough?" Jaehyun asks, tears begining to stream down his face again as Johnny tries to calm him, wiping as many tears away as he can.
"Hey, hey, hey, I'm not leaving you yet. I'm sure heaven is great, but I have you. My own angel, one I wouldn't trade for anything else in the world, or out of it." Johnny said, grinning as Jaehyun simply chuckled.
"You're cheesy-er than Wisconsin." Jaehyun remarked, smiling as Johnny just smiled proudly.
"But you love me." He sing-songed.
"You're right. I do love you."
Jungwoo about had a heart attack when Jaehyun leaned over and kissed Johnny. He'd always thought that Jaehyun and Doyoung were dating, but he supposes he may have been wrong.
He decided to step out, leaving the other two with their privacy, though he stuck around until Jaehyun exited the room. His eyes were still red and puffy, but he was much more relaxed, and a lot more happy.
"Johnny fell asleep, so I'm thinking we should grab something to eat before he wakes up. You game?" Jaehyun asks, earning a nod from Jungwoo before they head off in the direction of the cafeteria.
"I always thought you were dating Doyoung." Jungwoo says as they make their way to the elevator.
Jaehyun laughs, a loud hearty laugh. "No, dude, he's my second cousin, but we're like brothers. Besides, he's completely happy with his boyfriends." Jaehyun remarks as they finally enter the cafeteria.
"Boyfriends?" Jungwoo asks, taken aback as they get in line.
"Yeah, it's kinda complicated. He's dating two people, Taeil and Yuta, but the other two are also dating Sicheng. It's confusing, I know." (A/N see header for visual chart.)
Jungwoo had hear of polyamorous couples, but he had never really thought he'd ever know someone who was in that type of relationship.
"Speaking of relationships," Jaehyun says, turning to grin at Jungwoo. "How are things between you and Taeyong?" He wiggles his brows for effect, causing Jungwoo to blush and turn away from him.
"We're official as of last night." Jungwoo mumbles shyly, ducking his head further down as Jaehyun squeals like the little excited fanboy every knows he is.
"YES! OH MY GOD, I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!" He was practically jumping up and down as they reached the actual point of food in the cafeteria line, Jungwoo slamming a tray to his chest to get him to shut up.
"You're embarrassing me." He says sharply, his head still lowered as they make their way through the line.
"Aww, Jungwoo is now becoming Jung-uwu." Jaehyun says softly.
And Jungwoo knows he's a tomato red mess, because that nickname just makes him think of Taeyong and the first day they met.
Ugh, the problems of being in love.
