Jungwoo hadn't been at the café for about a week. His excuse? He'd been visiting an aunt three towns over.
Did Taeyong care about why he was gone? No. He just wanted the uwu boy back. And soon.
And maybe that's why he perked up every time the bell above the door rang out, signaling that someone new was there. But it was never Jugwoo. Until it was.
"Hi." Jungwoo said, smiling at Taeyong widely as Taeyong feels like a weight had been lifted off of him. Damn, how much did he actually miss this kid?
"Hello, Stranger." Taeyong says jokingly, watching as Jungwoo turns red with embarrassment.
"I was busy with family, give me a break!" Jungwoo whines, giving Taeyong a very pouty face. Which, yes, it would normally make the older boy roll his eyes, but Jungwoo was finally back, so he didn't care if he was acting like a child or not.
"Okay, okay, I give. What do you want to drink?" Taeyong asks, acknowledging the small line forming behind Jungwoo.
"I'll have a hot chocolate today, extra large." Jugwoo said with a smile as he fished his wallet from his back pocket, Taeyong typing something into the register with a slight giggle.
"3.49." Taeyong said, grinning like the devil himself as Jungwoo handed over the money. "Okay, it'll be out in a minute." He said, writing Jungwoo's name on he cup before passing it off.
Jungwoo rolled his eyes with a chuckle before wandering off to find a table in the slightly crowded café that buzzed with people talking and the mechanical whirring of machines.
Jungwoo finally found table closer to the back and next to a window, he decided that he'd get a book later, or maybe just not at all today. He just wanted hot chocolate. And maybe Taeyong's company.
"Jung-uwu.... Taeyong, I'm three seconds away from firing you. Stop pining and ask the boy out already!" Dara said, leaving the hot chocolate on the counter for Jungwoo to grab before she rat tailed Taeyong with the dish towel she had hung over her shoulder.
"You know, she's got a point." Jungwoo says, grabbing the drink before returning to his table, a great confidence flowing through him as he sits back down, seeing Taeyong with bright pink flushed cheeks.
Eventually the flow of customers slowed down, and Dara allowed Taeyong a brief break. (Aka, Jugwoo time.)
"So, about earlier..." Taeyong said, sliding into the seat across from Jungwoo, the latter of the two nodding with he briefest hint of a smile.
"I'm single and free on weekends, or any weekday after four o'clock." Jungwoo said shamelessly, pulling a wafer out of the hot chocolate, scrunching his nose at the now soggy thing in his hand.
"Does seven o'clock on Thursday work for you?" Taeyong asks, his bashful side getting the better of him as Jungwoo nods in confirmation.
"Yes. So, is this an official date, or just hanging out? Because I think we're mutually pining here." Jungwoo says honestly, not even trying to be timid at this point.
"Alright, an official date at seven o'clock on Thursday. Agreed?"
Jungwoo nods, smiling as Taeyong just gives a light chuckle, Dara calling the latter back to work.
"I'll see you then." Taeyong says, getting up before going back to the counter.
Jungwoo sighs, laughing a little once a realization hits him.
Taeyong knows neither his phone number nor address.
Oh, these boys.
