Ashton POV

I was pacing back and forth in the office waiting around for about 10 mins now and there was no sign of Destiny or Sky.

What the hell could be taking them so long?

Right on cue, I see them both walking towards me, Destiny's head hung low and Sky's face blank. Somethings not right.

I walked up to Destiny and engulfed her into a hug. At first she was tense, but she then hugged me back.

"Hey kiddo. You feeling ok?" She nodded her head and looked up to Sky.

They share a silent conversation and I would be lying if I said it didn't bother me.

"What's going on?" I looked at both of them, waiting for somebody to give me an answer.

Sky stared at me, different emotions passing through her eyes as she looked like she was having a battle within herself. She took a deep breath and grabbed my hand while leading me to the girls' bathroom.

She pushed me inside and my eyes widened at her aggressive behavior. She picked Destiny up and placed her on the counter.

"Ok would somebody please tell me what the fuck is going on?"

Sky ignored me and took Destiny's bag away from her. She opened it and began searching. At first I was confused, but when she pulled out a freaking gun, my heart stopped.

"What the fuck?" I whisper yelled when she placed it beside Destiny.

"That's what I should be asking you. Something is not right and I need you to explain to me why the fuck a little girl has a gun inside her bag." She whisper yelled back at me.

Why are we whisper yelling?

"I'm just as confused as you are. I don't even know where she got that from. Destiny where in the hell did you get a god damn gun?" I turned my attention to her and she kept her head down.

"Destiny now is not the time to be mute." She flinched at my words and she looked like she was going to cry.

"Yow chill out dude, she's just scared. Take it easy." Sky glared at me before walking over to Destiny, trying to comfort her.

She is right. I needed to keep my temper in check. I was lashing out on her and right now, that's not what she needed. I took a deep breath and knelt down in front of her. Sky jumped a little because our faces were millimeters apart but looked back at Destiny.

I hold her hands and rubbed circles around it, encouraging her that I'm not mad and she can talk to me.

She looked up and was hesitant to open her mouth but nodded her head either way. She wiped her eyes with the back of her hands and took a deep breath.

why are we all taking deep breaths?

"I s-saw uncle mark." Goosebumps ran along all over my body as the dreaded name came to light.

"What?"

"He came to pick me up from school one day. I thought he was going to bring me home but he kept asking me about where daddy is." She was on the verge of crying when Sky embraced her.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck

This is not good. I made sure we moved somewhere that they couldn't find, so how the hell did they find out where Destiny goes to school?

Wait...

"Destiny did they ever find out where you live?" Maybe there was a little hope.

"I don't think so. Ashy what's going on, I'm scared." She looked at me with big glossy eyes.

I can't tell her. She just fully found out that our parents are dead and there is no way she is going to know why.

I got down on one knee and kissed her forehead.

"Don't worry D. I promise that I won't let anything happen to you and you know I never go back on a promise." I held up a pinky and she did the same.

Sky looked at us with a smile on her face and I forgot she was there. I kept my face blank and emotionless as I turned towards her.

"I need you to stay away from us." It was for her own good. I shouldn't give a fuck about what happens to her after everything that happened but I will just end up feeling guilty.

"Excuse me?" She was taken aback at my sudden mood change.

"You need to forget everything that you seen and heard today. Forget Destiny's name also." Destiny was already in deep shit by just being my sister. I can't allow her to be in more danger.

Sky went from shock to hurt to mad then lastly outright pissed.

"What the fuck. You can't seriously expect me to forget everything just like it was an episode of the walking dead."

I stood up and walked over to her as her eyes widened. She took steps back the more I walked over to her. Her back hit the wall and she cursed under her breath when she realized that she was trapped. I towered over her. She tried to act like she wasn't intimidated but her eyes deceived her.

"I wasn't asking you to forget. I was telling you. Now I need-

"No that's bullshit Ashton you seriously-

"Be quiet I'm talking." Her face froze for about a second before her lips formed a thin line and her gaze fell to the floor. Looks like it's working.
"I seriously need you to forget everything because it's for your own good. You don't have the slightest clue as to what the fuck your getting yourself into and I already have one little girl I need to take care of. I don't need another stubbron ass one to tag along."

I made sure my voice came out harsher that normal because I need to get my point across to her.

I didn't wait to hear her response as I took Destiny, who was silent this entire time, and walked out the bathroom. I brought her bag and the gun with me and before you say it's dangerous to have a 5 year old and have a gun but not when you have a fucked up family like mine.

I got in my car and made sure to strap Destiny down and check my surroundings at all time. My dad taught me that when he tried to "train" me for the real world. I knew it was all bullshit from the get go.

I think he had a feeling that something like this was going to happened, so he wanted me to be prepared.

I drove out the school after looking behind me to see that the coast was clear.

Or so I thought....
