Ethan's POV
Bryant and I have explored throughout most of the houses seeing what was of use and what wasn't. We stayed in multiple houses different nights, on beds, couches, carpeted floor, just trying different things out every night. Although no matter what Bryant and I always slept close by, not accustomed to sleeping alone and not used to the outside world yet, we stayed together.
I would cuddle up with Zayn and talk to him late at night or throughout the day as I walked the streets of the town. Bryant and I haven't been talking as much lately but we're still close, I think we both just need some time to ourselves until we fully accept or come to terms with everything.
We found a radio in one of the houses and we would check it every day switching between channels to see if anyone was on the other side to respond.
An I-Pod was found by Bryant in a room of a house, we would listen to songs while laying on the grass outside looking up at the sky, watching the clouds pass by, calling out patterns and shapes or under the twinkling stars in the moonlight.
Our supplies were slowly coming to an end, day by day and night by night down to nothing. The town didn't supply us with much and we only found enough to last us a little while more to stay in one place. We will have to leave soon. Bryant's nervous, as am I, but I know we have to do this, to leave this place in search of others, maybe we'll find people out there, or find a suitable enough of a place to live.
I was currently looking at the map we found in one of the houses, seeing what's around us and the next place we can travel. There were five towns close enough to walk to, I was contemplating on which one, the biggest which was the furthest, closest which had been the smallest, or the medium sized ones that weren't too far or too close either, I wasn't sure.
I asked Bryant and he wanted to go to the closest just in case it wasn't what we expected and we could easily return. We planned out a day to leave and were marking the way we would have to go when we do leave. I marked two buildings with red circles of paint to indicate that is the way we would have to go on said day.

May 26, 2008
It was early morning, Bryant asleep next to me as the sunrise shined in the background. I was checking our bags and the map to make sure everything was all right and set.
After everything was in place I left for a walk around the town before I wake Bryant so we can go to the next town over. The walk was cool and peaceful with the warm air and nice breeze, the very few birds chirping and clatter of my boots on the concrete.
I looked down at my watch to see it was 8:30, I raced back to Bryant waking him up to get ready so we can leave. I wanted to leave quite early so if the town wasn't successful we could return before the sun sets.
We had our bags strapped on and were ready to go. I walked ahead of Bryant, going towards the street that lead to our path. I looked between the map and out into the streets making sure I was heading the right way as Bryant painted little red streaks along the street and barricades to leave a trail back just in case we had to return and make it easier.
I hope we find what we're looking for.
