The next two days I made Grayson take it easy, staying in bed, bringing him anything he wanted or needed, he was opposed to the idea, getting treated hand and foot but I refused telling him I wanted to do this, he deserved this.

I spent most of my time with him, laying beside him, talking to him, playing some games with our cards, anything was fine being with him, he made everything feel better.

It was now the third day after his accident and we decided that he was well enough to travel and we were planning to leave today. I wanted to do a final sweep of the area for supplies so I left leaving Grayson to rest for a little before we left to the next town.

I kissed Grayson goodbye on the cheek as I left the room, closing it behind me to let him sleep. Grayson and I have gotten closer day by day, we didn't say anything of what are relationship was but we would cuddle in bed and kiss each other in the cheek, hold hands, not much but I'm happy.

I had already searched most of the houses and didn't find anything in them so I avoided searching the remaining four houses that still stood.

We had already packed everything back at the house in our two bags so we could be prepared for today, there wasn't much to pack since we had to leave our last town so abruptly, leaving most of our things behind only leaving us with our two bags now.

I walked into a corner store, the aisles mainly holding scraps of disgusting food that had rotted over or already destroyed. It drenched of curdled milk and rotten meat, a foul stench that made me gag and tear up.

I went up and down the aisles finding nothing g once again, I went behind the register to see some keys that I presumed were to the store and back office. I took the keys, going to the back unlocking the door and stepping in.

The window lit the room to find a chair, desk, computer, filing cabinet, normal stuff. Opening the cabinet to the desk I look around, picking up files and binders finding nothing. I open the other cabinet and when I do there lays a tan little bear, black eyes, wearing a baby blue shirt and nothing else, it's fur was like a milk and coffee, a combination of Grayson and I's bear, his was white while mine was a dark tan.

Grabbing him and stuffing him in my bag I sit down at the desk chair to rest my tired legs for a little. I lay my head down on my folded arms and close my eyes to rest them for a second before I continue my search of the rest of the town.

I wake up to the sound of wheels coming to a slow stop, doors being open then closed seconds later as indistinct voices are heard too. I shoot up looking around to see I was still sat in the office.

I climb on top of the desk to look out the window and see half of a car parks with three figures standing near by talking to one another. It's them, we stayed too long, they caught up.

Grayson
