If Nathanos believes he can get away with this treachery he is surely mistaken. Only a fool out of his right mind would backstab me. I was an idiot to believe his feelings correlated with mine. He spur me around like a damsel in distress and I feel for it; a trap of misleading love.

Beside me, I march along my most trustworthy friends: Nigel, Vernal, Agatha, and Janice. Janice is the fresh meat of the party, but she has turned the proper heads. Throughout the weeks she has been updating me on The Lich King's whereabouts. She's a valuable jewel in this midst of darkness.

As I take each step I can feel a my heart getting pricked at by splinters. Nathanos has took a heavy toll on my heart; shattering it. Another reason why I should never let my guard down... for anyone. Being cold-hearted— Only way to survive. Ask yourself this: What would've my life been like if I didn't make this decision? If I didn't chose to fall in love with the right or wrong person? Risks are like approaching strays with open arms; you never know what will come in return— Aggression or compassion?

Nathanos was my first love— Truly in another lifetime. Feelings change— People do not. Utterly, he used me for his own personal gain. It's true what they say; Betrayal never comes from your enemies. Soon enough he will taste my wrath.

In spite of the situation, Nigel has been here for me countless times. I love him and I neglected his love for someone I thought was better. Undoubtedly, I have created a huge wall between us. I'm doing my best to show him that I care, but I'm afraid it's too late— for us both. Love is the worst kind of enemy you can have. It's either meant to be or not meant to be, but there's never a handbook to decipher which is which.

Alas, a long day's ride to the Banshee Liar we arrive. With might, I push the hallow doors open. The air isn't settling right with me. Something is terribly wrong. It's quiet— too quiet. I walk down the hall and down into the lower quarters.

"Where is everyone? It shouldn't be like this." Nigel notes.

"Perhaps they went for a midnight stroll in the graveyard. Are banshees into that kind of parade?" Vernal says.

"This isn't right. We should leave, quickly." Agatha suggests.

"No. Not until we know what's going on here." Janice says.

"I feel something. Someone is trying to signal me. They're in desperate need of healing. The tower— Go!" I say, getting glimpses of a banshee. I can't make who it was though.

I run to the tower. I open the door and see a banshee lying on the floor. I rush to her side and kneel beside her. I turn her over to face me.

"Elantra! How? How did this happen? You're fading..." I say, holding her in my arms.

"Humans— Slaughtered us all... Some still live— The ruins... Stay strong my... Queen..." Elantra says, then gives her last breath.

I set her down and stand back up. Elantra didn't deserve this. She only wanted peace for us. The thirst for war was not in her appetite. A kind soul has been snatched from me once again by human hands. I do not care if they are cold or hot— they're human.

"They will not get away with this. More bloodshed due to Nathanos, no doubt. Send word to our allies and warn them— War is coming." I say.

"Elantra mentioned something about others might be hiding in the ruins. What ruins?" Vernal asks.

"The old ancient ruins from where Mother Theresa gave birth to the first banshee other than herself. Janice, scout the area and send word back if you locate them. I will join you once I hear back. The rest of us will return home to prepare for battle." I say.
