"How are you holding up, Nigel?" I ask, entering the tower.

Nigel continues to peer out the window as he ignores me. Something is off about him. Ever since Nathanos has arrived Nigel became strange.

"Talk to me, Nigel. Please." I say, walking towards him.

Nigel raises his hand suggesting me to stop where I was. I could tell he didn't want to be touched. Nigel still continues to watch out the window, but why?

"Will you fucking look at me!" I yell, annoyed.

Momentarily, Nigel punches the wall causing an echo in the room. I notice that he made a small crack in the stones as well. He begins to breathe heavily with his hands still clenched in.

"Why?" Nigel asks, now looking down at the floor.

"I'm your—

"Why did you choose him?" Nigel interrupts me.

"Honestly, I don't really know. He's an old friend from my past that I was madly in love with... He is one of my most important friends that I had forgotten about because of Arthas. You don't know what that feels like, Nigel. It's empowering and heavy... It's like getting flattened by a kodo. When I saw him again my heart went berserk. I know it's not fair, but I love you too." I say.

"When you love someone there shouldn't be another person in the picture. When you love someone you stay dedicated to that one person. When you love someone you don't give up on that person! When you love someone...

"You'd sacrifice yourself for them." We both say.

Nigel turns around and looks at me with tears streaming down his eyes.

"I hardly know how to love. I know how to kill and stop anything that gets in my way. The Lich King conscripted me as a slave that did his dirty work for him. He had plans for Nathanos... I wouldn't allow it so I left." I say.

"What plans?" Nigel asks.

"He wanted me to deceive him and bend him to the Lich King's will. I knew he wouldn't let this happen. Thus, I would be forced to torture and kill him. However, it wouldn't be a fast process it'd be ridiculously slow. Taking months and maybe even a year..." I say.

"That is absurd!" Nigel says, shocked.

"Many people suffered, but I have no memory of it. Perhaps I was even tortured until my will and pride finally broke. I'll never know... I just know that Arthas must die. And it shall be me that makes it happen!" I say.

"Not without me by your side." Nigel says, grabbing my hand.

Our eyes meet and the world freezes around us. Time seems to be warped as he glances into my soul. Nigel leans in and we kiss. I lean back and something heavy hits me right in the chest. I lose my breath and step back.

"What's wrong?!" Nigel asks, worriedly.

"I think I just realized who my real love is..." I say.

Nigel rushes to me and kisses me again. We continue to kiss as the seconds tick away.

"Sylvanas..." I hear someone say.

I lean back and look at the door.

"Nathanos." I say.

"It's fine... I was just coming to deliver the news. Goodbye, Sylvanas." Nathanos says.

"Nathanos, wait!" I say, going to the door.

Nathanos had already left and dropped the note on the floor. I pick it up and read it.

"What does it say?" Nigel asks.

"Sylvanas, Queen of the Forsaken. I've heard extraordinary things about you. You have a gift, but some gifts can unleash pain and destruction. In times like these such gifts must be watched carefully. I am sorry to announce that Nathanos's orders to spy on you have been complete. Yet his feelings for you were true, I shall not lie. However, his time as a spy is over and the next step is troubling. Unfortunately, war is upon us and we can not aid you. Do not act upon the Burning Legion. Our forces will arrive shortly to see the threat eliminated. I advise you to stay clear of the battle. Be safe, Sylvanas. From, Varian Wyrnn, King of Stormwind." I say, reading the note.

"The Undercity is our home and this is our fight! Who is this guy? Nathanos was spying on you, Sylvanas! What the hell is this?" Nigel says.

"He wants us to stay away so they can take The Undercity. I won't allow this to happen. He thought he outplayed us, but no... I'm onto him. I'll track Nathanos down..." I say, leaving the room.
